At this point in AI, it's still not perfect so it won't be as good as a voice actor, but I would definitely enjoy seeing it implemented as a placeholder until maybe one-day this project starts thriving and we can pay for actual voice actors. Though I really like the idea that it is an optional setting. Also, I don't think it's fair to hate on AI because it is based off prior work, when all technology that humans have today is built off prior work/knowledge.

I'd prefer to not have any machine-generated assets in games, acceptable for placeholders but really the machines only generate stuff off the average of existing human creativity. I'd rather pay extra for proper speech recording and visual assets than have machine laundered content in a project I'm supporting.

I wouldn't be too quick to use AI voice technology just because it's new. In part, because it *is* new. In this case, 'new' means that a lot of people have strong feelings about the technology that are based on ignorance about how it works, and how those systems are trained, or the idea that it using it, somehow, takes work away from a 'real' voice actor. Using AI voices now runs the risk of alienating some users, better to wait and use it with future projects once it's become more widely accepted. Bias alert… I usually prefer no voices. Especially if voices might be added after I'm familiar with a character. The chances of the voice lining up with the way I Imagine it are just about zero.

When will CeceAI go live? There are some VTubers that sound nearly human and likeable, but I need to hear Cecelia voiced to give an opinion. I'm not against an AI generated voice as long as it can give a "natural" delivery of lines, like proper inflection and flow. When and where is the stream?

You can find VA's and they can pretty much work from anywhere. AI is not really needed as some of us prefer no voices. Using AI voices and not paying the original owner of that voice is just pure laziness on your part. In short, no, do not use AI voiceover for anything. They all sound the same as companies and social media seem to use the same default voices. Hire some voice actors if you want the characters actually voiced.

I know finding adult VAs can be unbelievably difficult but AI voices aren't the answer. Better to either have no voice acting or splurge to pay voice actors

An AI Vtuber makes sense as responding to chat, donations and the like would be impossible to preprogram. That said would prefer not to us AI for character voices in the game as it really is a set script since the text is already being displayed. That the time and energy to get the AI to deliver a believable output that matches the scene would be better spent working with a VA or to stick with no voiced charaters.

Honestly I’m fine without the voice, but if you have to then do both do the more in depth stuff with the actors and the non depth stuff with ai to save time but try to not make it noticeable

I suggest getting a feel for it first before putting it in the game. Maybe start by making some promising samples and show them to us and start from there.

I suppose as long as the voice actors sourced for the voiced, fed into the AI, are compensated for their sourcing.

I think having an ai system would work just fine as long as it is set up and works as intended

From my experience, AI is fine for narration, and probably daily dialogues. But it often feels lacking when you want it to be more emotional, like during sad or excited moments. And I really don't think it could nail erotic scenes. It's also lots of work fine tuning it. So yeah, take your risk. I remain doubtful towards it.

As a spanish speaker, i will call Cicil"IA" xD As for the voices... well first i would like to hear how does the AI voice sounds, cause i just don't know, but in case it can sound pretty natural i wont mind having some dialogs voiced with it
