Thank you for your reply. I understood what groove born is. I thought that I could solve the problem of moving the legs in a strange direction when playing animation with my model in this post, but I seemed to have misunderstood a bit about this. I will look for another method.

if the motion does not fit the model (which it likely wont), locate the groove bone (its a bone identical to the "center" bone that every model has) and move it up/down to make the motion fit to your liking, pressing register to make it stay there. you do this at the very first frame of the motion and the edit will carry over to the entire length of the video.
