Dev Log #103 - Kicking off 2025!
🕑 Added 2025-01-03 22:00:06 +0000 UTCHi all! It has been less than 12 hours since I got back home! I will be sorting out some small matters before continuing my work tomorrow! While I'm probably late to say this: I wish everyone a ((very)) belated Happy New Year! Let's get into this week's dev log!
On the horizon
I will focus on finishing the custom renders for December 2024, while equally prioritizing render work for Episode 3. Time away has helped me sort out initial story beats that were juuust off-kilter and character arcs, and I'm much more confident going forward with setting various key scenes across the entire episode and getting them rendered and written!
The overarching plan
I will be taking the first two months of 2025 to keep my head down in development, focusing heavily on getting the render work done and complete for at least 80% of the scenes present in Episode 3 (this percentage is not inclusive of those shown in the test release), this is mainly referring to the lewd scenes and having their renders more or less complete.
In March, I will focus more on linking everything together, which usually amounts to the remaining 20% of work in the scenes, how things transition from one scene to another, while making sense contextually. The reason this might take the whole month of March is for me to not only tie in story beats created in Episode 3 but to also include story beats and choices from previous episodes, which takes time since it means I have to sift through many, many lines of dialogue.
If all goes well, I will release an early version of Episode 3 in April, which will be an initial glimpse into the episode. This early build will have the main story beats and be completable, but some scenes may be rough/incomplete or omitted altogether. This build is meant for me to catch and fix bugs reported and will allow me to refine the game further for its eventual full release sometime down the road!
Who can access this early build?
As it is still early in the development, I will release more details closer to the early build's release, when I know the content is available and polished to a certain degree.
What can we expect while waiting four long months!?
Side stories will still be available as new content, with the January side story poll ending soon after this post goes live, a Lunar New Year special story, and finally a Valentine's special story (and February's side story poll)!
As of the time of this writing, I'm not planning any specials or side story polls for March, as I will instead take the time to fully commit to the episode's development.
Custom renders are unaffected and will still be the usual monthly affair!
Addendum
Phew! As always, the timeline above for Episode 3's early build release is subject to change and not final, but as of this writing, it will be the timeline I'm sticking to unless something drastic causes me to change it! The reason why I'm sharing it with everyone is so everyone can have a rough idea of what's happening through the months of 2025!
There is no episode development update this week as I've only just returned, so do look forward to it next week! Also, the preview posts for this week will be posted on Saturday (24 hours after this post) for this week only!
As a final note, I want to thank everyone, old and new, for supporting the game's development over the course of 2024 and into 2025, and I hope to bring new content that will tickle everyone's fancy, especially on the subject of vore!
