PSA: Declined Payments & Patreon Being Dumb
🕑 Added 2023-08-04 03:42:57 +0000 UTCPatreon notified me that some people's payments may have been declined recently because of a processing issue on their end, so if you notice that this has happened to you, you can evidently retry with whatever card you're using and that should work. If not, you may need to contact your card issuer to confirm the charge is valid.
Basically this is the result of Patreon being dumb, and I hope it hasn't affected too many people here!

In the same boat as Byron - all my pledges got declined, have to re-subscribe to all of them, and maybe 1/5 are failing to go through for some reason. I feel so bad for all the creators impacted by this :(

Repeatedly retrying the same card for multiple memberships is only going to get the card blocked by the bank. Especially it the card processor is now in Ireland instead of California. I'm looking for alternate (non PayPal) routes to support artists. It would be nice if Ko-Fi had a better UI.
