House of Qel-Droma - Star Wars '99 Concepts

Its teachings focus on the of combat and battle through mastery of selflessness and precision. Like all Jedi houses, Qel-Dromans have no official political allegiances, but most graduates go on to serve the Republic as Jedi Knights.

Lore note: Qel-Dromans who fall to the Dark Side are generally ruthless fascists, like Darth Vader.

Each house is fairly self-sustaining, combined with funding in the way churches and monasteries usually are. Each Jedi house accepts students in a different way: Qel-Droma is sort of like the Shaolin temple in that anyone can apply, but they'll turn most people away. The Jeth, as mentioned elsewhere, find you. The House of Allya requires intense examinations to enter, and the House of Odan takes in anyone so long as they don't violate the ethics of the Jedi.

Please, please, tease us with more! Who paid for the Academies, Jeth notwithstanding? The Senate? Did they round up talented younglings on their own, or did parents line up outside the door with the kids - or did aristocrats pay a small fortune so that junior could learn magic powers? SO MANY QUESTIONS!
