Ent Sketches
🕑 Added 2014-09-29 19:23:44 +0000 UTC Some unpublished sketches from my Silmarillion Project (http://silmarillionproject.tumblr.com/), where I illustrate images for each chapter of J.R.R. Tolkien's Silmarillion. People like to draw the Ents as living trees, and while that's pretty cool, I decided to go with Tolkien's words in The Two Towers, which describes them as smooth-skinned Trolls who seem to wear tree-bark as clothes. Haven't worked on the project since earlier this year for time reasons, but I'll get around to more one of these days!

Man, I love your Silmarillion sketches, and would totally buy a set of prints for the paintings. Possibly several sets, so that I can decorate multiple rooms. The problem is, of course, that the Tolkien estate would come down on your backside like a hundred tonnes of bricks. :/

I know, right? Here's hoping that's achievable, because I really do love working on these things. It also helps to have some non-DC projects on occasion to keep me fresh regarding Dark Science.
