Ahhhh! This is sooo good! So interesting to see these flashbacks. I love that we're only getting bits and pieces of the full story. I feel like Doug and Renee wanted kids of their own. I bet Renee was unable to concieve and Doug was resentful of her because of it. I bet he was never happy with the idea of adoption. (Some people have this weird notion they have to preserve their bloodline 🙄) Also not sure if Doug is really racist or just an asshole. This is such a wonderful comic. I wish I could have it all in print one day. 💜
