Exactly this. Verna did try to tell him the cat was not available, he just didn't listen, threw money, power and privilege at the problem like every other Usher instead of heeding her warning.

At the very end, when the cat is walking around Leo's body, it clicked for me that THAT was the original Pluto, and that she really did just get out, he never killed her, literally ALLLLLLLL of it was in his head 💀💀💀 I started like dry cackling at the show and just shaking my head, like woooow 😂😂😂 I am LOVING this, and I love watching an episode, and then immediately turning on y'all's reaction and watching you guys!! Not only is it super entertaining as I always love you guys, but it also helps me process the episodes better and catch little things I miss 😂💕
