There’s some implication in the books that Shae’s escape was intercepted and she was scared / threatened into her testimony. It’s probably some combination of fear, spite, and bribery that ultimately turned her against Tyrion.

Tyrion’s speech was good! I’ve watched this show so many times and I still get so hyped. Oberyn perking up at the end with Tyrion declaring Trial by Combat is all of us. Who needs Court TV….Let’s goooooooo!!!!!
