Stellar Blade - HDR Optimized Settings
🕑 Added 2024-03-31 19:26:38 +0000 UTC
The game is NOT using/applying Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.
The game has a decent HDR implementation as its actual Peak HDR Luminance can reach up to 3.000 nits but will average around 1.500-1.600 nits Peak with its default settings.
Unfortunately, the provided in-game sliders will change the overall exposure/contrast of the game together with Peak Brightness so it's not recommended to be changed (as they already result in a balanced PQ by default).
If you have an LG G3 or G4 OLED, you can try HGIG (forced in FMM via ColorControl) but for all other TVs Dynamic Tone Mapping is recommended for this game.
BONUS:
- Use the Balanced performance mode: in order to have unlocked 60fps which will be handled very well by VRR, all while keeping a good image quality and resolution.
Enjoy :)

P40L0
For sure: for now everything is the same
Edvin
Let us know if developer improves HDR after a patch with better tunability or actually start to use PS5 system level calibration.

Thanks

No, I would leave both Brightness and Contrast alone as as soon as you touch them, PQ takes an hit and becomes unbalanced. You can touch UI Brightness to your liking tho (the lower the better for OLEDs). But with HGIG you would have noticeably clipped highlights most of the time (except on G3/G4).

What about HGIG Brightness 60 Contrast 60 UI 20 ?
Emil Mathisen
Seems like these are good for hgig on the G2 brightness 75 Contrast 60 Ui brightness 50
P40L0
Nope, all the same

Any changes now that the game is fully out?
P40L0
You should still do it through the Game Optimizer dedicated bar/menu
Emil Mathisen
P40L0 just got the webos23 update and noticed u cant change color setting anymore in the menu
P40L0
DTM in this case. Only G3 and G4 could be better in HGIG

So for someone with a C2. Do you recommend playing this game with HGIG or Dynamic Tone Mapping?
