Assassin's Creed: Mirage - HDR Optimized Settings

The game is NOT using/applying Xbox/Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.
Unfortunately this game shares the same (bad) HDR implementation of AC: Valhalla (it actually was a Valhalla DLC initially, then repackaged as a standalone game).
So even if Mirage provides an actual Peak HDR Luminance control and an Exposure setting, the actual luminance during gameplay is very dim and "SDR-like", even dimmer than SDR in many occasions.
For this reason it is suggested to use Dynamic Tone Mapping in order to bring back a bright enough, "better-than-SDR" picture.
If you have an LG OLED and:
> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:
- Set Maximum Luminance slider to: 4.000 (nits);
> you're using HGIG:
- Set Maximum Luminance slider to: 1.000 (nits; as there's a bug where anything below this will just trigger HDR "Off") or 1.500 (for G3).
If you don't have an LG OLED and:
> you don't have an HGIG option:
- Set Maximum Luminance slider to: 1.000 (nits);
> you're using HGIG:
- Set Maximum Luminance slider to the corresponding real Peak HDR Luminance of your TV in "nits" but don't go below 1.000 nits.
In all cases set the "Exposure" slider to: 0.5 in order to improve shadow detail.

This game was just released on Steam; any improvements to HDR vs the original launch (in comparison to the orginal comments made in the post) Thinking of buying it and have the normal anxiety of do I use Native HDR, AutoHDR, Special K HDR, or RTX HDR - lmao.....

Cinema mode is really Amazing on G3 with DTM + Max nits in game !

Could be an option but would require a manual switch every time. I'm more lean to a "set it and forget it" approach ;)

I use Cinéma mode +Allm + DTM for the day and FMM + Allm + DTM for thé night , is good

Mirage doesn't support the system level calibration, so it dosn't matter what you've set there. Set the in-game slider to 4.000 nits, 0.5 Exposure and Enable DTM
