🕑 Added 2024-08-11 17:43:51 +0000 UTCReally not too much going on here, in terms of progress on anything fun, but it never hurts to point out I'm still in the land of the living. As always, this Patreon is just some silly tip jar with $1 access, and I haven't even changed the MEGA link in like a year so someone could easily just give the link away to share.
Anyway, same as always, "fun" at the beginning of the list, less-fun last:
1. Waifu Dreams City is still a highly-recommended game I've got to mention, the sub cost is cheap, the game's huge, and there's even inflation content with like, actual pumps and tanks and such. The actual gameplay is super simple though, so all scenes in the game (including inflation) are just "push button and watch loop". Go play the free version on Itch, it's only two updates behind.
2. I'm still trying to keep up on retweeting good content and creators on Twitter, so just following me there still means you get to see lots of good content. Sometimes I'll help explain something in Blender to someone, which always ends up with Laela inflating somehow, ha. She's a great blank slate for stuff like this
3. Actually used (and updated) my old Quest 2 again recently, played around with some inflatable VRChat avatars (there's surprisingly few good ones, ugh), played a little of GOAT (game's okay, though it doesn't have any "VR interactions", like you can't grab stuff, and I prefer desktop) and a little of Heat (much better game, though you run out of things to do pretty quick.) Admittedly I just pirate these, but I only really play them for like 10 minutes a month at most and I'm not rich enough to start stacking up monthly fees on games I don't play. Cool games though.
4. Remembered I still have some really old journals on dA and FA. Keep forgetting to update them, ha. Also I still haven't really touched dA much at all, I still don't like the site's UI.
5. Kinda want to rebrand my whole name on all sites to KL-001-A or back to "somerandomppl" like I used to have.
6. We got kittens IRL, and they're great, litterbox trained already, very cool. Definitely supplies new chores around the house, ha.
7. We got them because we had to put our cat down due to stomach cancer, which depressed the hell out of my grandparents, who loved that cat.
8. My grandma broke her leg on the fourth of July at like 3AM because of dementia stuff. They fixed her leg and put her in a rehab/PT center.
9. Grandma died about 2 days after the cat with absolutely zero warning, shocking the entire family tree.
10. The last week has been spent on funeral stuff, grave stuff, get-togethers, death certificates, loads of paperwork, and so on. Big whirlwind of stuff, that's for sure.
No real change to how busy I am, so probably no sudden return to content creation. When I DO return to content creation, one thing I'd like to do is to change all my character rigs over to the regular Rigify rig so people can import my characters into Unity or VRChat or whatever way easier. No promises there though, redoing the rigging from scratch would probably be a pain, heh.

Eh, it's fine. My grandma had dementia that was rapidly getting worse, and that's one of the worst things for a person to have to go through, a good chunk of the family (myself included) feels a little relief in that she didn't have to suffer for decades with it like another member of the family tree did. I'd much rather not keep my grandma trapped in a living hell, and it's good she died in her sleep, honestly it's the best case scenario for someone with dementia.
