Near-term roadmap and other news
🕑 Added 2024-07-16 16:44:41 +0000 UTCHey everyone, hope you're well!
Today I want to update you on what to expect for the rest of this and first half of next month.
I know it's already been a bit long since the last update, so I felt this was due.
First, sorry for the radio silence; after TM 0.26, I needed a few days off (and the bugs we overlooked took some time to fix and reupload builds, too).
And right after those planned 3-4 days off, I got run over by a truckload of work at my job, so the first 10 days of the month were pretty much dead for game development.
Anyway, I'm back in full swing now, so I can share a bit more info about what's next.
---------------------
Patron tier changes
The Lv4 and Lv5 patrons among you may have noticed already that I lowered(!) the prices for those 2 tiers to 8 and 15 USD respectively (or the equivalent in your currency).
For existing patrons, this will take 31 days to take effect, so your next payment may still be at the old price (this is outside my control, Patreon uses this to protect patrons from scammy price increases, it's just unfortunate for cases like this).
The old prices were originally based on 7.50 and 15 €uro prices respectively, but that was inconsistent with the 5$ tier, plus I felt the benefits weren't great enough for the old mark-up anyway, so there you go.
As for the lower tiers... there will be some changes soon, but I haven't made up my mind about some details yet, so there'll be another post once I've finalized that.
Just know that I care more about fairness than getting rich (see the Lv4/5 changes above), so don't worry.

GoV releases
This is currently my top priority, I want to get out a first public release and the next patron update asap.
I can't give an exact date yet, but I'll try to get it done this week.
Public Release 0.1.0 will basically be patron release 0.0.9 + UI improvements, character info improvements, and 2 new small sfw sandbox actions (watching TV with Grace in the evening, and 'playing games' on the protagonist's PC whenever you want).
Patron Release 0.2.0 will add more nsfw content on top of that.

TM! 0.27, public 0.26.2, naughty Memories/Fantasies special
What have I done to myself (again)... ^^'
The seduction scenes are honestly giving me more trouble than I had hoped...
I'm honestly a bit torn between wanting to deliver quality and - frankly - being a little burned out as far as working on TM! is concerned.
But I'll force myself to get back to this as soon as the GoV updates are out and will try to have TM 0.27 ready by late July/beginning of August.
Public 0.26.2 (basically 0.26.1 with 2 more typo fixes and updated credits) will be released at the same time, as usual.
As for the naughty Memories/Fantasies special... this, too, is something I'd like to get out of the way as soon as possible, but it's one of these "doing it well will take a serious amount of time" cases, so please understand I can't give a timeline yet.
---------------------
Next story project
I think I've hinted at this before, we're planning to succeed TM! not only with GoV, but also a more story-driven project.
If I had no job and possessed a brain capable of working fine 16-18 hours per day, I would've released at least some prologue for this already... but it is what it is.
I don't know if I can show something substantial in August, but I'd really like to and will therefore try.
I know the concept of GoV got (significantly) more votes in the patron polls, but I'm confident many of you will warm up to this project once you get a chance to experience it.
And if not... well, we're still going to run GoV alongside it :)
