PREVIEW | Truth Behind the 30-Year Legend of Faceball 2000 (97 Min Cut)
🕑 Added 2025-02-05 03:27:17 +0000 UTCHere it is, not completely finished, but this cut is the whole story. This has been a passion project for over two years. And I really have been working on it! I had to shoot a brand new segment just a few weeks ago when more obscure trivia about Faceball 2000 was discovered! I dare say there may be TOO MUCH info about Fabeball in this video haha but in order to address the new info, I created what may become a recurring segment for future videos, Derek from the Future.
Because you can never do too much research, you're bound to miss something, and it can be such a pain to redo entire segments. Which I did do already in this video, hopefully you wont notice the discrepancies in the voice over! But for this part I wasn't able to reshoot a huge section because I'm not at my old apartment anymore. This was just easier plus I'm a huge Back to the Future fan so this was a lot of fun for me. I also used the BttF theme from the Super Famicom game to avoid copyright.
I had a lot of help editing this project so please take a second to appreciate the co-editors in each chapters.
I'm holding out for a possible interview with Henk Rogers, who owns the Faceball 2000 IP. This fell into my lap also just a few weeks ago and would be an amazing way to end this whole story, being able to pick his brain about specifics with the publishing and release of Faceball, and maybe its future! But I haven't been able to secure anything yet, and his assistants haven't been very communicative. I'm beginning to loose faith but I still have a bit to polish up, color correct, and edit so there's still time. Though I don't want to hold off releasing this too much longer. As proud as I am with this project, I'm also DYING to work on something else.
Also I posted a new episode of UDUG yesterday if you missed that and I'll have another episode of UDUG tomorrow! And then it'll be time to vote!
