This video is going live Thursday morning, but I wanted you guys to watch it a few hours before everyone else. This video’s been in the works off and on for several months. It was inspired by Derek’s love of both Giant Bomb and forcing me to watch nearly 10.5 hours of Giant Bomb Quick Looks. It was fun though!! I taught myself embroidery and also learned a ton about Atari + Intellivision games, which is an era I know almost nothing about.
But for us the most exciting part was that James Rolffe was able to do a quick cameo for us!! I feel so honored that he took the time to do it! More like the Nice Video Game Nerd 🥹 Ofc Derek was originally inspired by AVGN, so having him participate in one of our dumb videos has been a dream of his for years. Kinda surreal!
Apartment update: we’re still waiting on maintenance to fix the hole/leak in our bedroom wall. The whole mess has thrown a curveball into our schedule that we’re still trying to recover from. The plan atm is to record the podcast this upcoming Monday, but that could change. Will hopefully have something to report in the State of the Skeleton this Friday.

As someone who was there watching you and the AVGN back in 2009, it is so goddamn surreal to see a retrospective of that particular "late 2000s retro revival era. I was too young to even have grown up with these games, but I still had fun nonetheless and it's fun to look back on that time in this way.
