Monsters At The Gate (Prologue)

PROLOGUE:
"The goddess of time and the end of the world".
Everything was dark and absolute space, with no existence of an edge or a beginning, but the mantle of that creation was only adorned by the lights coming from stars that had been dead for millennia and in the firmament their lights still shone only to leave a slight vestige that they once existed.
But despite such a dark and desolate wasteland in space, there was a very bright shaft of light in a hypothetical point in the middle of the dark desert in space. The light was starting to get brighter when it finally reveals its origin.
An absolute monument which stood as the ruler of that dark space. A golden Pyramid stood amidst the darkness and surrounding it lay an enormous ocean of stars that was formed by the same dark space.
The crystalline glow of the pyramid in the void could easily serve as a mother star for a small galaxy, and its ocean, which emitted no single wave, maintaining a calm and silence hard to imagine, was the perfect mantle to house the planets.
Still, all the magnificent creation of the void was not the main panorama taking place, but, there was an equally mysterious and strange occurrence taking place. Above the enormous pyramid of the void, a platform stood where someone kept his presence in view. A figure indistinguishable by the enormous brightness and the mixture of darkness in its presence could not distinguish who it was, but in the dark scenario, not only the luminous figure was present there.
Two enormous dark mounds were moving on the pyramid, their movements were extremely slow, in them nothing could be made out except the dead stars that could be seen through the moving masses, but there was a detail that, if I could distinguish them, enormous mouths permanently open with a small row of teeth gave a sort of face to the figures.
Before such a spectacle of emptiness, everything was incomprehensible and incomprehensible to every existing mind, something was happening.
A conversation was taking place between the enormous masses of the void.
They were talking about the destiny of something, a civilization, a world. Its time had come.
"time is generous, it is warm and understandable, and it is a companion, but even so, its eye must maintain a flow, its visit is ephemeral, but it must be treasured, even more so when it must come to an end"- one of the "Masses of the Void" gives a small sentence as if it were a dictum or rule about time.
Before those words, the second "Mass of the Void", keeps a few moments of silence before the prophetic words of his companion.
"Everything must end, they had their time, they must treasure it and continue within the void, like everything else, it is time to come to an end"- emphasizes the second "Mass of the Void" with the same cold and emotionless tone.
While both huge "Masses" discuss their plans to end the existence of a world. The third shadow that lay standing on the platform, enters the scene, without taking his eyes off the dark cloak where the two hosts of the Void are standing.
"so, have they already decided, both of them always end up arguing endlessly and never come to an agreement, that's why the destruction of those slimy humans has yet to come!".
With an authoritative and powerful voice, the third shadow in the meeting reveals her appearance by generating a small halo of light coming from a staff which she carries.
With an appearance that resembles an Egyptian pharaoh, she shows her entire image. A long bluish hair, adorned with gold jewelry on its ends and two large horns of the same precious material that pose on the sides of her head. Her body is covered by worn bandages which reveal much of her dark and immaculate skin.
An appearance and beauty only worn by a goddess, but the most remarkable thing about this pharaonic perfection. They are her piercing and deep yellow eyes, which were on the verge of being golden like the jewels that adorned her body.
But despite such an atmosphere of royalty and authentic beauty on the part of the Egyptian woman. the masses are not impressed nor do they pay attention to the details of their visitor.
"oh, you're back, tell me, what is your role in all this?"- the second "mass of the void" asks without genuine interest to the woman of exotic appearance, who had already managed to detect that her presence was simply being ignored.
"Are you fucking with me?"- the Egyptian woman, clenches her hands in great anger at the total lack of interest, but more so, humility, on the part of the huge shadows, to have in front of a woman with such divine features in her beauty.
Her presence simply does not impress these cold and strange beings.
"YOU FUCKING DARK SHIT MONTICULES!!!, YOU ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF A GODDESS!!!, BE HUMBLE, BOW TO THE GODDESS OF THE END OF TIME!!!, ME!!!". NIF!!!".
With shouts and a vocabulary one would expect to hear inside a slum or a prison, the "Egyptian goddess of the end of time", reveals her name.
Nif.
"..."- no response to the insults incomprehensible to the great dark beings, only a slight attention to the change of behavior so abrupt of the insignificant but important woman before them. Someone demanding respect and attention where several or perhaps, countless times she did not get.
"I'm glad to know I now have your attention"- making a small gesture to cough and clear her throat, Nif puts her foot down to begin speaking. "all right, where had we left off 10,000 years ago?".
Nif smiles mischievously, "oh, I remembered, we were about to doom and eradicate those shitty parasites, once and for all, it's about time those monkeys were made aware of my name and tremble and vomit all over themselves when they know who will finish them off, HAHAHAHAHA!!!".
Nif laughs in an unhinged manner at his intention to destroy humanity and make his name known.
At the unintelligible joy for the dark beings, both look at each other for only a few moments to formulate their response to Nif's age-old request.
"You wish to erase them from existence with such fervor," says the first mass of the void.
"You were praised by them, and also a great deal of emotions were given to your name, now will you seek to put an end to all that?" says the second mass of the void.
Nif frowns with clear anger at the shadows' words.
"Time out, are you looking to stir up my emotions to take back my decision, you shit-eating bastards!"- without repairing his vocabulary, Nif shows his anger.
With a slow gesture, one of the "void masses", generates a small orb of light which shows the world known as planet earth, home of the human race.
"We don't understand that sort of thing, so we are not objecting to your decision.
"all of this is simply a fleeting curiosity".
The Void Masses have no understanding of these emotions, they are completely indifferent to Nif's motives, as they have a much more complex role to understand, they are only "regents".
The orb of light descends from the elevated position next to the huge shadows and now lies at the same height as Nif, who carefully approaches.
"then, it will finally be done, I can't wait to twist every last one of these cockroaches' bones, I'll have a great time"- Nif holds up the orb of light from planet earth and grins mischievously.
"uh?"- Nif pauses a bit at the scene so favored towards her, even she herself finds it hard to understand that her request has been, Accepted.
"wait a minute. does this mean they won't object anymore, can I kill the humans without anyone getting in the way?"- Nif looks at both shadows with great distrust.
Without much thought for an answer, the beings above the 'goddess of the end of time', speak.
"the truth we spent all this time talking and debating about the reasons for this eradication."
"and just at this moment you arrived, we have come to a resolution after 10,000 of debate." They finish explaining both shadows to give their final answer.
Instead, an expression of astonishment, but more than anything, a "poker face", becomes Nif's only response, to such a ridiculous truth, the fact that all his requests to eradicate humans, were postponed by a debate that lasted 10,000 years.
(this... is a joke, right?). Nif thinks to herself.
"We have decided"
"the future of that civilization, rests in your hands, do as you wish."
"YEAH!"- Nif makes a small gesture of victory with his fist as he watches as Both Masses finally finish their debate and begin to disappear into the huge, infinite dark cloth, where now only Nif lies, who looks on with great joy as he realizes that his target will begin to move.
"I still find it hard to understand how I can be subjected to those idiots, but anyway"- Nif places his eyes even closer to the orb that pretends to be the earth, "how should I kill them, a slow death or maybe a quick one, or what if..., hehehehe".
In his thoughts an end of ideas, more macabre and sadistic begins to take order in his interpretations, throughout the history of the human world, Nif had already tried to put an end to humanity at different times which would go down in history. Wars, diseases or simply natural cataclysms, but even with all that, his brutality was very limited due to the rules that the two strange beings had set for her.
imposed, but now everything was free for her, she has absolute freedom to murder humans in the most twisted way she pleases.
"I could simply send a swarm of twisted monsters to rip out their guts and all their bones."
On her way, Nif had stepped down from her platform atop her pyramid and now walked upon the great corridors and statues of her personal palace, in this place not only did she dwell, strange beings made of robes acted as her personal servants, emitting no noise, not a voice or essence of mind. Her only interaction with her goddess is only to serve her a glass of wine and watch her continue on her way.
In his thoughts the symphony of destruction was orchestrated, but another reminder returned to his memories, one that causes Nif's smile to blur and express a face of annoyance.
"No..."
the macabre goddess' smile wipes away at the initial idea of monsters. An idea that was discarded after her own secret attempts to eradicate humanity. All failed, because of certain humans who managed to oppose her long ago.
"I'm sure there are still more of those bastards, it would be the same result to send the 'swarm', I must look for another type of Monsters..."
Nif walks on her ocean of star, which only wets her feet with delicate care, observing a strange statue in the distance. Along with his huge pyramid and a statue in the shape of a giant clock was the only thing that inhabited his domain, and just that huge monument, was the answer, the way to exterminate those strange "humans".
"This time, I'll send them"- with a big perverse smile and with a lot of pride, Nif reveals who will be the ones to put an end to humanity.
The golden hands of the clock marked a total of 13 numbers, a detail that only revealed that, with its colossal size and strange symbols on each number, that Clock was anything but a normal time marker.
And now it had begun to move by order of the goddess of time.
"definitely, they must be the ones to do this with me, my beloved children, all 13 of them, they will put an end to their pathetic existence, ¡¡¡¡JAJAJAJAJAJAJA!!!!"
Nif caresses her womb with a maternal aura, and along with that act, the gears of the clock begin to strike the first hour and the first symbol for the end of humanity.
Nif laughed like a true lunatic as 13 dark silhouettes approached her, ready to obey their mother's designs. Beings with terrifying powers.
The end of time for the human world.
The hand of the giant clock gives the first symbol.
Thunder...

Okay after this this yeah I'm hooked really can't wait to see how this story. The void entities remind of those alien X beings from Ben 10 how they take a long time to make a decision just to use their power compared to how these guys where debating the idea of letting humanity be destroyed. Nif being this mad goddess that wants to bring the world to ruin sounds cool. I'm can't wait to learn more about the organization that stood in her way and the monster she summoned to take them out.

Oh wicked, can't wait to see the roster! Also like the idea of two Void Entities just having a debate that lasts for millennia and being what kept humanity (somewhat) safe til they finished.
