I can't get no homeostasis.
🕑 Added 2020-11-11 09:59:19 +0000 UTCY'all know I'm like the king of health problems especially since the emergency room, mystery abdominal mass, CT Scan, MRI, missing kidney adventures of late 2019.
I had a small reprieve a couple times since then. But in March/April I had the weird eye problems on the right side with dryness and blurriness/corneal abrasion and the 6 week long temporal headache. That seemed to ease up by summer and up until August I was doin alright.
Then I jammed my thumb and over the next 6 weeks of basically doing what you do as a man and ignoring the pain it got to the point where it was crippling and I legit couldn't pinch anything between my thumb. Turns out I had a mild tear in the UCL of my left thumb which didn't end up needing surgery luckily but does still have me in a brace until the end of November, but I'm happy to say I can put on socks and pick up a milk carton again.
All the while, while that's been going on I've been trying to avoid the rona and even got tested for it back in September after having some weird ear, nose, throat issues. The rona test was negative but I've been having throat/ear/tongue pain and difficulty swallowing since mid September which is very disconcerting.
I'm a 12 year reflux/hiatus hernia sufferer so at first I assumed that this was all related. I even had an upper endoscopy last year that showed some esophagitis so I figured things would clear up eventually. But so far no such luck. So right now I've gotta get set up for some imaging of my neck and see a specialist this Monday and stop reading articles on the internet that all say sore throat that lasts more than 3 weeks is probably cancer...
Oh and there's the small matter of the 1 year anniversary of not seeing my woman cause she's European and I'm American. Thanks Covid travel ban.
In the mean time combined with some positive rona cases where I work and the uncertainty of how things will be since it was bought out by a larger corporation, I just haven't been mentally capable of making new content for the time being. So if y'all wanna drop your subs for a couple months please do so cause I'm not sure when I'll have all this sorted out.
