I believe it's mostly because people will only 'like' a post once, either on fanbox or patreon (whichever they see first) so you may still be getting the same amount of likes, but it is split But to be honest the previous art style is preferable as it is more faithful to the animation source

It could be a mixture of two reasons, one being that a decent number of people here have moved to patreon, and the change of art style shown in the recent works.
