Billing issues at Patreon!
🕑 Added 2023-08-04 18:09:47 +0000 UTCHey guys!
As some artist before me, I got a mail from Patreon as well informing me that there could be some issues when it comes to charges going through this month.
As far as I could figure out, Patreon switched country where payment processing is being done or something and this could cause the issues for backers. Something to do with certain banks refusing business or something. But according to Patreon, they are working on solving the problem. Well, i'm really hoping they do.
Just to be safe I wanted to let everyone know about this. I only got one complaint, which now makes sense, but I think it got solved. Did anyone else have issues this month?
I'm really sorry if someone is affected by this, I really hope they can fix things as soon as possible.

I'm sorry to hear it affected you, but it's good that you could solve it mostly. I don't know why Patreon is not telling info like this before they doing it. But if it's true what I heard they were shady again with taxes. Maybe that's why they didn't made the change public.

I agree with you. I hope it didn't caused you trouble.

My access was disabled starting on 08/01 and I just got it working again. I saw your post about the having only one report of an issue. The problem is until I finally got the transaction to go through, I couldn't post a comment to note that I was having issues. That may be true for others. I subscribed to 13 and all but three were impacted but those hadn't reached the renew date.

I also received such a letter today. It's a pity that such things happen.
