We're back this week with the first peak inside our Aztec temples! Hopefully by now some of your parties will have found a way in, because this month's update is all about the interior!
Some mini updates to get out of the way first:
- We're about two weeks late to most comments/replies by now, and I (your intrepid writer of posts) would like to personally apologize for that. Never a speedy replier anyway, a death in the family and an emergency move across the city have sent us into disarray. Hopefully, we'll be back on track soon. In the meantime, if you have any pressing questions, please feel free to message us again so you won't get buried in the backlog.
- Other upcoming updates we're working on include a night-mode for old combined maps that are missing them, a gallery system so newcomers can browse older maps easily, and some bonus, alien-world maps. No ETA as of yet, but the bonus maps/night mode should come first!
- A new poll for the next theme will be up mid-month, so if you have some ideas in mind, now is a good time to DM/e-mail us!
Updates done, yes? On to the maps!
So first up, we've got the interior of the main temple itself! This time around we've carved up the map into 9 unique areas that should all have something to offer as a standalone map. This month we've got the first 3 of them up:
In the westernmost corner we have an archaeological site, though to get there you'd have to cross a hallway full of these odd, menacing statues. Only to be greeted by a locked door at the end of the hall. The notes of those that came before point to a device somewhere, but that somewhere happens to sit at the end of a lot of forbidding vines...
The bonus maps for this set include a two-level snake pit! On the upper floor is a small standard-issue arena with this funny looking grating in the middle...
And on the lower floor: a deadly snake pit. Some boulders are available to the dexterous! The map comes in desert/river variants too.
