Dungeon Set 05 - Spider pits, altars, and throne rooms!
🕑 Added 2019-04-29 14:14:43 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
We're back again this week with some new areas for the dungeon - this time with more unique-looking areas so you can customize your dungeoneering!
Some updates since our last post:
- The future content poll is now closed. The results are pretty clear, so we'll be pushing more on quality from now onwards. We'll be taking a bit more time to wrap up our own work, and then it's just maps and turtles all the way down!
- We've received feedback on some of our gridwork/designs over the course of the last few months. We've had to shelf some of it for lack of time, but now we can dust it out and start working on calibrating our designs. We'll welcome more crit of this too, if you guys any requests for us! Please DM us though - our Patreon notifications have been acting up recently.
- We'll be packing the port town + forest themes into multi-piece JPGs so that the calibrated final version is available in a set
And on to the good stuff!
Main Map 05 - Cobwebbed Caves

For this week's main map, we have a break north of the tome, where the path segues into a cavernous complex that will develop into a labyrinth later on.
This one has a variation where the paths are replaced with spider pits, with complete with webs and poisonous fog. It's intended to fit thematically with the infected lair from set 02.
Prison 2
This week's second map is a bonus for every tier. It's a simpler layout, with the caverns removed so that it can run as a normal jail instead. We've had some fun with the variations here, so there's everything from dank, dark, to outright demonic.

Sandstone Altar
This one is a bit of a curveball, but we wanted to feature some different-looking relics too. This here is a sandstone altar, possibly buried deep in the dungeon and of a different civilization entirely than what came before. It comes with 5 different shade of cursed!

For folks who prefer their altars to match their dungeon, no worries - we'll be adapting this later on to have the usual blue tiles, and in other formations too.
Throne Hall - Stairs
And finally, our last map of the week is a more civilized segment of the dungeon. This one is part of a throne hall map - the stairs leading up to it, to be precise. This one is meant to match the aesthetic of Main Map 1, to form a castle-like ruin. Next week there'll be the throne hall that this one links to!

And that's all for this week!
Our next batch might take a while since one of us rolled a bad flu. On the plus side though, we'll have time to slowly polish the next set so it shines! We'll be back after the first week of May. Until then!

Party of Two
Thanks so much for letting us know! We spotted that issue on our end too when we were test-playing it. We're planning on re-releasing the prison without square-grid tiles so that it's got more playability. Thanks again for telling us! (:
Looks great! With the prison map though, the square tiling can be problematic. I use a TV as my tabletop. I add in a square grid on my own so the grid is the proper size for my TV and for D&D minis. That means the square tiling in the map will be a different size from the grid's squares I add in. That makes it hard for players to see where they can place their minis. Just thought I'd let you know that it's an issue on my end :)

Than you for making it easier to just click and download the zip instead of going through the hassle of what you were using previously. <3
