Why you haven't had a Marabou update recently...
🕑 Added 2024-10-12 19:00:04 +0000 UTCI recognize it's been a while since you've all received an update on Marabou, the major Mitchell cockatoo project bird who is with my consultant, Landon. This video explains why and what Landon has been going through as of recent happenings.
We are definitely mourning with her through her loss and I couldn't be more grateful that Marabou came into her life when she did. It just confirms for me that this match was meant to be even more.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. This hits close to home for us. We adopted a young little Green Cheek early last year and thankfully got him right into our Avian Vet, who immediately recognized a problem with his heart. After x-rays and consulting specialists, our vet diagnosed an enlarged heart with a significant murmur. He's on 2 heart medications given twice daily and is doing quite well! We know our time with him will be cut short so we are sure to give him the best life possible while we can, as you have also done.

Landon, I am so sorry that Radio passed. Your attitude is awesome though...yes, it hurts and yes it doesn't make sense, now what can we learn from it...and even the unintentional laugh about Mariboo thinking about the toenail clipping shows your ability to accept really hard things with a spirit of "if we don't laugh we cry" and I respect that. Thank you for all the info and for letting us into this very private time of your life. Radio looks like he had a really, really good life.

Omg Landon……. Thinking of you and your family. This is a huge lost! He was definitely too young to leave. This hit home quite a bit, as I have a rescue galah (31y old) I am very fortunate with each day he is with me! He didn’t have the greatest past, but trying to make his present and future better. Not sure how long he will be with me, but making the best of it! I am very fortunate to have him teach me patience and behaviour observation. Thank you for sharing this video. I have to say I got teary eyes…… Love galah, mine is like an old men that is constipated, but I feel they are an amazing species that have so much to offer. Thinking of you and sending love
