That’s so exciting, Marlene! I used to give Blueberry treats on my shoulder for just “choosing” me. I’d recommend you do the same so he associates being with and on you as rewarding. To get him down I’d just target or lure him onto something else. 💙

Quick update on Checo - I left his cage open and was at the other end of the house. He left the cage, on his own, and flew around and seemed like he was looking for me. He landed on a pillow in the living room and waited for me to come get him. He stepped up into my hand (he’s terrified of hands) walked up to my shoulder and has decided to stay there. I’ve offered him his play stand, but he chose to stay with me. He NEVER chooses to get on my shoulder. I know I don’t want it to be a habit if he won’t get down, but considering he just lost Max and he allowed me to rescue him and is staying with me, I’m ELATED!!!
