Toys are so expensive! My Goffins will chew through a $20 toy in less than 30 minutes. It took him 4 days to completely shred a $48 toy. I'd like to start making my own to save money but I'm so worried about getting quality wood. Aside from the bird safe woods to look for and untreated, what are some other factors to consider when looking for lumber to cut up for my guy? Is isopropyl alcohol 70% dip and then let dry in a controlled environment enough to disinfect the wood?

How do you get your bird to eat the beans in the sfs. No matter what I have tried I have had no luck. Any suggestions. I have 2 teils, a lovebird and 2 budgies that throw the beans 🙁

I have a 2 year old AG that gets bored easily. She has tons of toys of different shapes and textures. What she likes to do the most is forage not actually play with toys. I don't want her to just forage (Dave say nothing, lol) she forages for her pellets and freeze dried BT sfs but still bored. once she has found her treasures. She trains twice a day and knows several tricks, any ideas to keep her busy?

I just adopted an African Grey who favors my husband is there anything I can do that might make him favor me more as I am his carer? It would make my life easier if he didn't keep flying away from me and crashing cause he doesn't know how to stop.
