Unedited Training Session with Comet
🕑 Added 2024-11-16 20:00:02 +0000 UTCToday I had a very unplanned training session with Comet (and Tusa, but didn't video his!). I originally started the session hoping for wings out like I trained Tusa to do. What I got was a head shake so I went with that and began capturing it. Comet picks up on this pretty quickly but as you can see, it's not learned yet because once the spray bottle is out of the picture, he doesn't offer the behavior anymore.
This training is also just a great way to bath train by rewarding and encouraging bathing responses (head shakes are bathing responses eventually - even if in the beginning they're more of a "ew gross get it off me")
With bath training you can see I have gotten a lot of great behaviors from it - with Monet I trained her "wings" using it (same with Tusa) and with Jinx it's how I trained his tongue out. It can also be used for the head shake!

Had a bath session with Phoenix today. I love when he does wings out and that’s what I’m clicking for during our bath training hoping to transition it outside of bath. So neat how I sit down after the session to see a session you had with comet. It was so cute. 🥰 at one point when you see him from below it’s just all yellow. So beautiful.
