Hi Steve, you set it up by emailing in to info@birdtricks.com Attn: Kim. Kim handles all consults made with Dave. You just let her know you are interested in a freeflight consult with Dave about doing the course and you will be charged for the consult, but if you decide to enroll in the course it is deducted from that overall course cost.

Regarding freeflight, we can definitely do an initial consult to talk about your goals and what that looks like on a one on one call!

Every day looked different for us based on what the bird wants to give (or not!) so it's really going off your bird's signs. If they seem hesitant to hang with you it could mean they need space away doing bird stuff in their enclosure or it could mean you need to pay extra special time rebuilding some fun time with them where they want to be with you. Some days I'd spend almost the whole day with Halo or Beau and other days they were in their aviaries all day. It really depends and sticking to that consistent inconsistency is best and then also being willing to adjust as necessary based on the bird's reaction. Hope that helps!

Oops, accidentally deleted my original post trying to make the reply chain make sense. Here is is in even more confusing order.... I got my Hahn's from the same breeder as baby Beau the B&G specifically because I trusted him not to clip my baby.

Thanks so much for the answers about Frankie! I did watch the baby bird course - loved it and will keep referring to it!. I should have used better language - I didn't mean an outdoor aviary - I just meant the indoor cage - its a large 42x42x72 corner cage. Also have an 80x40 cage. I saw what you did with Beau...I just wanted some more pointers on socializing/bonding the first day - where? how long? wait to put in the cage until sleep? or in about a few times? Love you guys! Didn't take anything as a "sales pitch" either. I do want to talk about free-flight, but would rather not do that on this feed here.
