I just wanted to add to the one foot scratching, my grey often will do it when in the cage and very much wants out, for whatever reason. It is a potential hormonal behavior and mine does it as a way to say she wants out. Like in the morning when I go into the bird room she will go to the bottom and start scratching and take a pause to look at me to see if I'm going to open the cage and continue again if I'm not doing so yet. I do like the idea of putting it on cue so when I get there I'll share a video 😉

Skittles doesn’t get on the couch much anymore. She does much better on a stand NEXT to the couch or my chair.
