No problem! it surprised me to at first! When we had 2 parrotlets surrendered to the sanctuary , our vet recommended they shouldn't go in the budgie/tiel aviary, and instead with the lovebirds who are much stronger (I call lovies little mobsters). It shocked all us bird people...so funny that they are so little and apparently so ferocious when they want to be lol. I know you guys will do an amazing job with Bluee as you do with every bird that enters your household! Thank you for all you do for rescues/sanctuaries!

Make sure to monitor Bluee and Berry since parrotlets can do a lot of damage to a budgie in a small amount of time! SO excited for your journey with Ava!

So excited to watch this unfold! As I'm sure you will, please monitor Bluee and Berry when they're together. Parrotlets' jaws are significantly stronger than budgies' and they can be pretty territorial. Small, but mighty! :)

Just get more birds called Cyan, Ultramarine, Lapis, and Indigo and you will have all shades of blue in your bird repertoire

I adore my two year old female parrotlet. Parrotlets are fiesty yet also total cuddle bugs! Parrotlet only look smaller than budgies because they have short tails but they weigh near the same. Parrotlets are usually around 29-31g!

Did you know that only male parrotlets have cobalt blue under their wings. Females don't, Yep Blu is a male.

Oh gosh. I'm completely in love. If Blues feather condition is anything like their pre rescue treatment, I'm even more glad that you rescued them. What a cutie. Can't wait to see more of Ava. What a beautiful name. 😍
