As for the middle video, if you look at the other side of her hand, there's definitely something there but I can't make out what it is.

I've been waiting for this moment! lol The green-winged macaw is mine. I know you guys aren't going to believe me but it's not actually a hormonal behavior, although I can definitely see how you would think that based on this particular video!! lol Bubba is 23 and he has been with us for 9 months now. He has a traumatic past and A LOT of anxiety. You'll actually be seeing him at a masterclass in June! He does this behavior when he is anxious and someone he wants to be with has left the room. He will hold onto anything, metal, wood, toy, anything near him he can get a grip on and then anxiously move his wings. His butt isn't actually making contact with the surface he is on. His anxiety has improved a lot since this video was taken, but anytime he is put in an extremely uncomfortable situation and he is anxious, we see this behavior.
