Usually it's by the spices and herbs. We found blue-green algae there before too which was fun to also play with - doesn't take much!

I imagine the only difference would be if you wanted an "ice cream" consistency or a "yogurt" consistency.

Capri and Bean are so cute! Great idea to make something the whole family can enjoy together. My bird loves a bit of smoothie as long as they are not overly sweet (I know, oddball!) or too heavy on the banana. He prefers tart fruit vs. sweet, so bananas are not a fave. A place near us makes a smoothie bowl with acai, blueberries, and almond milk as the base. One of the toppings on it is goji berries. My bird loves to dig the goji berries out of the bowl. I have to be careful with any type of coconut. For some reason it causes my bird to act strange for the rest of the day. He is restless and wants to sit with me all day, but when he gets to me he bites me like crazy. I think the coconut must upset his stomach. It's a shame because he adores it!

Great idea. I often make myself a breakfast smoothie with frozen fruit and either water or coconut milk. I could save some out before I put in my chocolate protein powder and see if Tucker likes it :)
