Definitely! Our gcc basically did the flip himself in the petstore when we first saw him. We trained on a tabletop t-stand with vet wrap for grip (and confidence) . He will now do it on the stand (with or without the wrap), fingers or perches and branches in his cage.

possibly! caiques are quite playful and adventurous naturally, buyt that doesn't mean other birds can't learn the trick also!

possibly! if it's not a grip strength issue, then he could learn to do it. caiques are normally more playful and adventurous, but that doesn't mean other birds couldn't!

Widget is a little doll! That's such a cute trick! My pionus worked hard to teach himself how to flip the same way around a perch. It was his idea, same as Widget. I can get him to do it while on a perch but I don't know if I want him doing it on my finger. Pionus beaks are like needles and he needs to use his on the last leg of the flip.

Good job Widget (and Jamie 😄) Is this possible to learn for a cockatiel? Elvis sometimes tries to hang from a branch upside down, but almost everytime struggles and almost falls 😂
