Loved this episode so much! Poor Dave, just wants to be able to kiss Jinx's face too lol. 😂I feel like I'm "a Jamie" with my Goffin Cheeky. I also sing and do happy dances when feeding her. My energy is always crazy and happy when I get Cheeky, so with my dad being "the Dave" I'd definitely not hand her to him after she was with me. My dad helps improve his relationship with Cheeky by taking her TO me vs away. He used to take her back to her cage for me, but now we know better aha. Very informative video, I tried to take notes on what I learned. :)

I love to see that everyone gets goofy with their birds. I make up little songs and do all kinds of dorky things all the time with my little GCC. But more on point, having watched Family Friendly Parrot Formula multiple times (both of them), it's really nailed the 60/40 thing and watching for body language (some of which I've admittedly had to learn the hard way), which paves the way for a really great relationship with your bird.

I am glad to see this and to see how you put this in action. I'm still somewhat at a loss as the rest of my family are faaaaar from willing to physically interact with the birds (with some pretty wicked scars to underline their unwillingness). I can see how, had I known better, maybe I could have set thing up better. This is not going to be easy, but necessary if I'm ever going to get the grays socialized better.
