Lately, Cheeky has been anti- passive attention and all about 1 on 1. When it isn't hormone season, I can typically sit down and let her chew wooden dowels or foot toys and just hang out with me. All she wants currently, is cuddles or training, and obviously I'm trying to minimize cuddles for hormonal reasons. I find it frustrating, because often my own human feelings of guilt about her spending more time in her cage, make me make poor decisions. I'll then ignore the body language of "flock no, let's not just sit around" and I'll push it due to not feeling capable to handle training myself...(health). I've learned Cheeky tends to have a blast destroying toys in her cage, and it's all about the quality vs the quantity of time with your bird. Forcing interactions she doesn't want, ruins our relationship!

Thank you so much for this content! I love the tiny toys for my baby caique! He loves the hourglass, Halo’s ring, and the swing and destroys those types of toys often. I’d like to make him a few pieces myself of things he usually destroys and then throw in your tiny toys on top of that. I will reach out to your customer service team for a list of the types of wood, so I can find the right pieces for Monty to make some simple toys myself. 😍 Love all your products!!
