In earlier videos I've noticed you put your thumb over his farthest foot instead of the closest like you normally do. Is this why you do that?

I get the slow step up/step down sometimes. It is usually when she is being very fickle and wont commit and wants to hold my finger while she does the other thing. (Whatever THAT is) 🙃

My B&G does that but I think mainly because he hates stepping up on my hand...I suspect he fell once. When I offer him my hand he will do that to check it out. What he would prefer is my wrist or forearm. I am still working hard to break him of that habit.

My cockatiel will put one foot on my hand to step up, change her mind and hits me with her beak, “no!” 😑

Kauwaii does that sometimes, when she isn’t too interested in moving (I think?) but same thing! Kind of just rubbing my finger (she’s tiny!) with her foot, toes open, won’t grab. I have no idea what it’s about, but it’s just waiting for her to put weight on.

Dave was saying the same thing. Have you tried is other side. Think about we all step off with a particular foot, perhaps, the right foot he would have more confidence? Just a thought. But I don't know, I can't even get mine to step up. LOL
