So glad you started working on this with blueberry. I have been working on the upside down/ bat with my 2 budgies and can only do it with luring and am curious how you will get him to go upside down without having the millet there! Can't wait to see the next video!

I understand that!! I figured you might have tried it but wouldn't hurt to mention. Millet spray is much better for taming that is for sure!

Thanks, Wendy! I have put it in a tiny dish before but those dishes somehow go missing a lot (coughCapricough) so I constantly have to move my treat stashes and it ends up just being easier for me to grab a spray millet - but you will likely see me use both methods depending on the day!

Have you ever tried putting the millet in a really small Rubbermaid container? For my parrotlet I have a container that is about 2 inches square. I just crumble the millet into it along with chia seeds and it really helps with the freebies everywhere. I just thought I would mention it. I just shake a little into the lid and treat him from there. The nice thing is I pull out the container and he flies to the training perch. My green cheek will take it as treats also although he prefers safflower. I have been working on this same trick with them its slow going for my parrotlet he doesn't like being touched and I thought this might help.
