Comet and Tusa were mainly at my folks this summer so we haven't been working on it. In any set of 2 they're great but as 3 the dynamic is totally different.

Did you have to train bathing to the little golden gems or did they come to you loving it? I laughed out loud at them pressing up against the cage for the spray. 🤣 Too funny.

It’s funny how birds react differently and just have their own personalities. Tucker loves to bathe. It is self-reinforcing for him he loves it so much. If I don’t offer him a bath for a couple of days he will start flinging his water everywhere out of his cage. But ... he won’t play in the water. And he doesn’t even really act like he’s enjoying it although he closes his eyes and gets really calm. He doesn’t get excited and has no interest in playing in the bath. But he will give a bathing response if he just sees the spray bottle 😊

I try to offer daily even if it's through a clean water dish (conures preference sometimes) it does not always have to be offered the same way. Bondi today showered with our friend and she said she wasn't super into it and that's fine as long as she knows she won't be forced to bathe but only ever encouraged.

Quick question... do you offer baths every day or just most days? Mine seems to get burnt out on baths (so to speak) if I offer them daily. She gets into them if I do it every other day or so. I usually offer 3 baths a week. Any more than that and she becomes less than enthusiastic about them.
