Custom YouTube Thumbnail Creation
🕑 Added 2019-06-24 18:00:00 +0000 UTCHey toucans+!
I am working on yet another project... trying to figure out a "style" for my YouTube channel thumbnails. I've tried figuring this out in the past to no avail, and always feel like I have no direction on this so I wanted to ask you guys for your thoughts and opinions.
Maybe you can link me to a style you like/prefer, or give suggestions on what would fit me and my channel... do you like text, do you like graphics, do you like bright colors... do you like photos or do you like screen captures... do you like emojis (please say no) and all that sort of thing...
I ended up asking my graphic designer if she had ideas as well and am waiting on a response for that as well... but thought you'd all like being part of this process! So let me know!

I have not, but the guy we teamed up with on them harvests them fresh off his property in Florida!

Have you done a video on "Fresh Seasonal Palm Nuts & Pandanus Kernel/Keys"? Interested in trying for Quaker parrot but people that bought them seem to have trouble getting their birds to eat them...

For good stills, you can pre determine what might make a good thumbnail and pause for sec like you're taking a picture or if you're the one filming and your camera allows taking a photo while you're filming thats another good way.

Now THAT would be AWESOME!

I was literally just chatting with her again about possibly collabing since they're just in Montana!

Yes I love the way animals wonders does theirs!

Yeah, and YouTube screen shots the worst stills of me... hahaha. But I'm like ehhh could be worse, we will go with it, ha! But yeah, it would be nice to have my own template/style. Their photos look really nice and high quality, I don't always get good images from my videos like that.

I'm definitely not a graphic designer, but maybe a logo / border graphic? With a screenshot relevant to the video? I like the way Animal Wonders does theirs; but of course your style would be different. I do have a personal bugaboo with the click-baity reaction frown screenshots that seem so popular now. But that's just me lol.

Thanks, I was screen capturing those literally so they aren’t super high quality and I couldn’t really get the sizing perfect but maybe no one cares 😂🤷🏼♀️

I like the style you had going during the some of your series in the past where about 1/2 or 1/3 of the thumbnail to side had text and the other part was a screen capture

Definitely no on the emojis! I like photos, maybe with a small row of text on the bottom, but I'm also good without text.
