Tasty Tuesday (BirdTricks Bites)
🕑 Added 2019-06-18 14:01:00 +0000 UTCBecause I am not a fan of the ingredients in Nutriberries but understand their appeal, they were the inspiration for this recipe. I wanted to create something that could be held in a bird's foot and eaten, and used as a jackpot reward too, but I wanted healthier ingredients.
Here is what you need:
1/4 cup raisins (or the number of BT Bites you plan on creating)
1/4 cup almond butter
1/4 cup cooked quinoa (cooled or room temp)
1/4 cup rolled dry oats
1/4 cup Feed Your Flock pellets
More ideas for this recipe:
For small birds, you can roll in some millet as well to entice them, or any of their small seeds to create curiosity.
Letting your birds in on this creation is fun because it naturally encourages them to be food-curious. If birds think they aren't supposed to get into it, they will try to get into it!

She's the best taste tester of all. Can always count on her!

I laughed out at the shot of Cressi eating the Bird Ticks Bite. She didn't hold back at all. LOL :D

Omg I was WAITING for this one!!!! I tried making these on my own as the first recipe ever out of your cookbook and oh my goodness...they did not turn out like that! Hahaha (I also didn't have an awesome helper like Capri tho!). However I think I see what I was doing wrong (and love the tip about the cooled almond butter, the stuff I got was very thin) and look forward to trying these again!!
