I read somewhere that cockatoo dust can cause allergies in macaws.

I would assume your vet knows what to test for to tell, but if not I would consider DM'ing Mel to see how she found out... that is not something I asked her and it's not something I've ever dealt with before myself! She's available via her website worksforbirds.com, or on facebook!
