🕑 Added 2024-06-02 14:04:36 +0000 UTCI have some good news and some bad news!
Good news is that I'm trying to get the next beta update out by the end of next week. Bad news is that it's also when the first part of my summer vacation starts, and summer vacations are notorious for not having any time to spend on the computer. I will try to make time to fix the bugs and continue development, but progress will be slow. There is quite a bit of work to do still, so I can't promise that the update is ready by the end of next week. I'll try my best, but it is what it's gonna be.
As to what's in the update, it's mainly mechanics. You'll be given goals to aspire towards to (like achievements) and reaching those goals will net you some favor/policy points that you can use to activate new school policies. But you'll also get to recruit more teachers to the academy and unlock new subjects to teach.
As you can see, I'm shamelessly reusing some UI designs I've already used in the past just to save me some time. And as for what you can do with those new school policies? Well, eventually the sky's the limit, but I have some fun things for you to unlock. Some of the previously available research options will be gatekeeped behind some school policies. I won't destroy your club rooms, but if you haven't yet researched some rooms, they might get locked until you unlock the corresponding school policy.
School management menu will be replacing the "Attend class" menu and the school will work in a similar way to the club - it is simulated each night based on the teachers you assigned to teaching given subjects. You'll also be able to view different grades, answer pending student questions, view unlocked school events, take your class for a field trip etc.
Speaking of field trips... This gave me an excellent excuse for a bit of fun to dress up the girls in various degrees of skimpy bikinis and have fun with bright colors (I'm thinking I should make a quick behind the scenes look for the beach shots, because the workflow for them is...quite something). For now, there are a few different sets of renders to see during beach class trips and you can take Natalie for a date there. The rest of the girls will also receive beach dates, but those are pretty time consuming, so I'm starting with Natalie, since she's the one girl who's girlfriendable right now.
While the mechanic-heavy update might sound like a drab, it means the next update will focus purely on content. Be it club events, school events, random events, more storylines for the girls etc. I'm actually looking forward to it, to be able to deepen the corruption, heh.

Sounds good overall, a bit more mechanics and achievments to strive for will elevate the school sim and make it a bit more interesting, nice. Beach field trip is pretty much on point given the season. Enjoy your summer and see you back come fall with more depravity :D
