Beneath a sky of embered cries, where twisted roots in darkness rise, she waits with lips of honeyed sin, to whisper, child, let me in. A voice of silk, a touch of flame, a love that sings, a love that maims. The whispers coil, they press, they plead, "Be hers. Be whole. Be all she needs." The past unravels, thread by thread, the girl I was—forgotten, dead. Yet in her arms, no loss remains, just whispered love, just burning chains. So carve my name in ash and bone, for I am hers, and hers alone.

When I opened my eyes, my breath caught in my throat—or whatever semblance of breath I had in this hellish realm. The air wasn’t air at all but a heavy, cloying heat that pressed against my skin, making me feel trapped in an endless suffocation. Around me, a crimson haze clouded the horizon, painting the sky with streaks of black and fiery orange, as if the world were burning from within.
And at the center of it all loomed the tree.
It was impossibly massive, its branches twisting like grotesque arms reaching toward the heavens, a canopy of ash and ember that seemed to block out even the faintest hint of light. Its bark was dark, as if charred, yet it pulsed with a sinister energy that made my stomach churn. Roots snaked outward, tangling the scorched earth, and in the distance, I swore I heard whispers emanating from its depths.
They slithered through the air like phantom fingers caressing my skin. Coming from everywhere and nowhere, a thousand voices speaking in tongues I didn’t understand, yet somehow, I felt their meaning.
"You are hers now."
"No more pain."
"No more loneliness."
I tried to move, but my body refused. A weight greater than chains bound me, both physical and ethereal. It was then I realized I wasn’t merely in a place… I was in her domain.
“Lilith,” I whispered, the name tasting bitter and hot on my tongue.
And then she appeared.
She walked toward me from the shadow of the tree, bathed in an unholy light that made her seem both angelic and demonic. Her wings were stretched wide, their leathery expanse glinting with traces of blood and ash. Her body, entirely exposed, glistened with a sheen of sweat and crimson streaks, as if she had bathed in the aftermath of destruction. Her lips curled into a smile that was equal parts cruel and inviting, and her eyes—piercing and molten seemed to look straight into my soul.
“Welcome, little one,” she purred, her voice a melody of seduction and menace. “You’ve taken your first steps into eternity. Let me show you what it means to belong to me.”
I wanted to speak, to resist, but my voice faltered as her presence wrapped around me like a vice. My body betrayed me, trembling not with fear alone but with something deeper, something primal.
“Do you know why you’re here?” she asked, tilting her head. She traced a finger along my cheek, her touch cold and scorching all at once. “Do you know what you’ve become?”
Her hand moved to my chin, tilting my face upward to meet her gaze. I couldn’t look away, her eyes pulling me into their depths like the abyss.
“You’re no longer Ysara, the frightened little girl hiding behind rituals and spells. You’re mine now… my child. And I will mold you into something beautiful.”
The whispers grew louder, wrapping around me like a cocoon. They were coaxing, soothing, insidious.
"Say her name."
"Give in."
"You were always meant to be hers."
Something inside me rebelled at the whispers and her words, but it was fleeting. As she leaned closer, her lips ghosting over my ear, I felt a flicker of something strange and unwelcome—devotion.
“No,” I stammered, though the word lacked conviction. “You’re not my…”
Her laughter cut me off, a low, throaty sound that made my skin prickle. “Oh, but I am. Your body knows it already. Your blood knows it. Soon, your mind will, too.”
Before I could respond, the world around us shifted.
The ground beneath me cracked open, and the air became thick with screams, not my own but echoes of the past. My past.
I saw myself, young and trembling, barely twelve years old, huddled in a corner as the cult’s elders examined me with greedy eyes. Their voices echoed in my mind: “A prodigy. Her magic will serve us well.”
The whispers turned cold, sharp.
"A tool."
"A weapon."
"You were never their daughter. Only their offering."
I gasped, my hands trembling. The past twisted like a knife inside me, and then Lilith’s voice, rich and commanding, shattered the memory like glass.
Lilith’s voice cut through the memory. “Such a tragic little thing, weren’t you?”
The scene shifted. Now, I was in the dimly lit chambers of the cult’s stronghold, my hands trembling as I traced runes on the floor. The weight of their expectations bore down on me like a crushing tide. “You’ll bring glory to us, girl, or you’ll die trying,” they had told me.
And I had believed them.
“Do you see now?” Lilith’s voice was a whisper, but it was everywhere. “How they used you? Broke you? And yet you still served them, desperate for their approval.”
The memory dissolved, and I was back in the hellscape, my knees buckling beneath me. Lilith knelt before me, her smile gone, replaced by something, more intimate.
“They never saw you, Ysara. But I do. I see everything you are, everything you can become. You’re mine now, and I will teach you what it means to be free.”
Her hand cupped my face, and I couldn’t help but lean into her touch. It was as if my very instincts craved her, recognized her as something sacred, something maternal.
“I won’t break you like they did,” she murmured. “I will shape you, nurture you, love you.”
The whispers changed. No longer cold or distant but warm, worshipful, pleading.
"Be hers."
"Love her."
"She is all you need."
The words seeped into my bones, into my very essence, until I wasn’t sure if they were external or if they were my own thoughts echoing back at me.
Her lips brushed against mine, a feather-light touch that sent shivers down my spine. And then she kissed me, passionately, possessively, her fangs grazing my bottom lip.
I gasped as pleasure and pain intertwined, consuming me in a way I had never imagined. Her hands roamed my body, and I surrendered to her completely, every fiber of my being crying out for her touch.
“Good girl,” she whispered, her voice dripping with approval. “You’re learning.”
Her wings enveloped us, a cocoon of darkness and desire, as she pulled me closer. Every touch, every kiss, every whispered word was a revelation, a promise of the power and pleasure that awaited me.
And I wanted it.
I didn’t know when the fear turned to longing or when the hatred turned to love, maybe it was from all the years of observing her, obsessing over her but it didn’t matter. Lilith was my everything now. My queen. My mother.
As the dreamworld pulsed with her energy, I felt myself changing, my body and soul reshaping under her guidance.
“Say it,” she commanded, her voice soft but unyielding. “Say who you belong to.”
The whispers became a single voice, Lilith’s…no, Mother’s voice, surrounding me in an endless, inescapable lullaby.
"Say it."
"You are mine."
"Say it, my love."
And I did.
“You,” I whispered, my voice trembling. “I belong to you.”
Her smile returned, wicked and satisfied. “That’s my girl.”
She pressed her lips to my neck, and I felt the sharp sting of her fangs as they pierced my skin. Pain and ecstasy merged, and I cried out, my voice echoing through the hellish landscape.
When she finally pulled away, I was left trembling in her arms, my heart racing with newfound devotion.
“You’re mine,” she said again, her voice a lullaby. “Always and forever.”
The moment the words left her lips, the air shifted.
The whispers that had been coaxing, tempting, guiding exploded into a deafening chorus. Voices, countless and ancient, filled the void, echoing in worship.
"She is ours!"
"She is hers!"
"The lost has been found, the wayward has returned!"
Their words crawled beneath my skin, threading through my veins like fire and honey. My breath hitched as the overwhelming wave of devotion crashed into me, a euphoria so intense I nearly collapsed. Lilith caught me, her arms strong and unyielding, her lips curving into a satisfied smile.
The ground beneath us pulsed, as if the very world celebrated my surrender. From the twisted roots of the great tree, tendrils of black mist slithered upward, coiling around my ankles like shackles but there was no fear. Only acceptance.
And then the whispers changed.
"Now she must be remade."
"Tear her down."
"Unravel the girl… birth the daughter."
My breath came in ragged gasps as the air thickened, growing heavy with an unseen force. My very being trembled as something unseen, something ancient, brushed against my soul. I tried to move, but Lilith held me still, her grip gentle yet absolute.
“Do not fear,” she murmured against my ear, her voice the only solid thing in the shifting abyss. “This is love, my sweet. Love in its purest form.”
The whispers surged in response, a tidal wave of adoration and hunger.
"Give her to us."
"Break her. Reforge her."
"Make her worthy."
And then, suddenly, I felt myself unraveling… like a name whispered too many times until it lost meaning. The edges of my being blurred, slipping into something vast, something endless. Something Hers.

As the world around us began to fade, I clung to her, desperate to remain in her embrace. But her final words rang in my ears, a promise and a command:
“Love me, Ysara. Love me as I have loved you.”
And I did. With every fiber of my being, I loved her.
