Just got a chance to listen to the episode. It's interesting how different the game is between metas, in NZ we almost always play to five rounds, including in tournaments. We had an event just before lockdown that was 50% new or returning m2e players, only four games went to time across the event. I had one game that went to time, it was vs a player who was on his third game and we ended mid turn 4. Edit: we play 2.15 or 2.30 rounds

We wonder the same. What is your normal format? Round length? Time between rounds?

I don't know what you guys in the US do different, but having a game not get to turn 5 here in the UK is the exception, not the rule. Unless it's a very cagey game with summoners on both sides.

Holy cow! I’m podcast famous!

I don't disagree with Oliver's suggestions for change, but his initial assumption that faux is a 3 turn game is untrue.
