Build 10.14.20 release notes
🕑 Added 2020-10-14 05:08:07 +0000 UTCIn preparation for the halloween event I've just decided to publish a new build with a bunch of changes that will be needed for the halloween event.
There are not a lot of notable changes you can spot right away.
One change you will clearly notice is the daytime effects on the map locations as time goes by, you can now tell if it's morning, noon, afternoon or night.

Music Updates
+Adjusted music track volumes.
+Added new soundtrack for dates/events with a mysterious theme.
Daytime Updates
+Every game location is now internally marked with interior/exterior tag to indentify them properly.
+Exterior locations now render an effect layer on top of the background to give the sense of time of day such as sunrise, day, sunset, and night.
+The day time effect layer is a workaround for now while I have enough budget to commission daytime variations for every background.
Location Updates
+Added map location for grocery store's freezing room. (this will be available on the halloween event only)
+Added map location for forest old cabin. (this will be available on the halloween event only)
+Added map location for Hotel Lobby
+Added map location for Hotel Hallway (floor 6).
+Rearranged the hotel location routings properly.
Config Updates
+Moved a lot of config data for the game to the server.
+The game now downloads its initial configuration for dialogues, map locations content and events dynamically.
+These config changes allow to configure/add/remove more game content dynamically without the need for a new build.
+The game locations are now properly marked with a placeholder tag if they are using placeholder art for their background.
+Every map location that is using a placeholder will now display a "Placeholder" watermark to identify them easily. Eventually with your support we will replace the placeholders with original art.
UI Updates
+Added a new logo splash video on startup.
+Fixed an issue with the game's logo loading too slow.
+Added a new Game Over screen. Events can now trigger a game over if the event story path requires the game to end.
+Increased the font size of the dialogue window.
+The dialogues typing animation is more uniform now.
+You can now skip the dialogue typing animation to show the text right away.
Content Updates
+Added a new item Candy Corn. (This will be available during Halloween)
+A bunch of other Halloween related content has been added in preparation for the event ;) all of it should be available on the 26th.
I hope you guys are eager to try the halloween event. You should expect it by October 26th.
