When the lady talked about “mixing”, it’s a gay allegory! Since they live in such a small old school village, so tight-nit that everyone knows each other’s business, you can tell that the idea of being homosexual isn’t “normal” to them. And possibly becoming something that isn’t “normal” freaks the fuck out of Yoshiki LMAO

The sounds and visuals really paint like two different stories. Regarding the "threat" to kill Yoshiki if he said anything, my husband read it the same way, but I saw it as if Yoshiki found out, the plan was just to kill him, however, when Yoshiki confronts him, he accepts the NEW Hikaru and that's why he decides not to kill him. He had the power too, but he craves acceptance after being alone and he receives that from Yoshiki. Anyway, that was my interpretation. Glad you're checking this out!
