Legends spoke of untold riches hidden within, treasures that had tempted many but claimed even more. As Kael navigated the crumbling halls, his heart raced with the thrill of discovery.
His hands brushed against the cool stone walls, each step echoing in the stillness. But as he pushed deeper, the air shifted, charged with an unseen energy. Suddenly, the ground beneath him gave way, and he tumbled into a hidden chamber filled with shimmering artifacts and dust-covered relics.
Before he could regain his footing, the chamber's long-dormant magic stirred to life. Ancient runes glowed ominously, and a series of intricate circles formed around him. Kael's instincts screamed at him to flee, but the magic was swift. As the circles pulsed, seven curses shot into him, each one wrapping around his essence like a serpent tightening its grip.

Even worse, if he were recognized, he would be arrested for trespassing, cursed and imprisoned.
Desperation led him to consider another option: an independent healer. They were often less reputable, but time was of the essence. After three days of searching, he finally found a healer named Orin, known for his unconventional methods and dubious background.
As Kael entered Orin's dimly lit dwelling, the air was thick with the scent of herbs and incense. Orin, a wiry man with wild hair and piercing eyes, studied Kael intently. After a thorough examination, he stepped back, shaking his head in disbelief.
“Remarkable,” Orin muttered, “but strange and powerful curses you carry. These are no ordinary afflictions.”
Kael felt a chill run down his spine. “Can you lift them?” he asked, his voice barely a whisper, still strained from the last curse.
Orin’s gaze turned serious. “I can, but there’s a price. Curses like these are designed to extract something from the cursed. Lifting them won’t be easy.”
Kael clenched his fists, determination coursing through him. “What do I need to do?”
“I’ll lift one curse a day,” Orin replied, his voice steady. “It’s safer that way. The first one will be today. Are you ready?”
With a nod, Kael agreed, his heart racing at the thought of beginning to reclaim his life. He could feel the weight of the curses still pressing down on him, but the prospect of being free, even if just a little, fueled his resolve.

As they settled down for the night, Kael's heart was a mix of excitement and trepidation. The first curse had been lifted, revealing a glimmer of hope. This curse was lifted pretty easly by Lira, in fact this type of curse that reduce the control over a body part is the most common curse. And when she finished, Kael was divided, on one side he finally could properly use his hands again, but on the other side, he oddly saw that his hands had become more...delicate, more feminine. And that thought made him realise this wasn't some joke. At least, that was all for today.
At Orin’s, the healer was already prepared, his workspace filled with herbs and mystical artifacts. “Today, we tackle the third curse" he announced, a hint of gravity in his voice. “This one will make you feel more rigid initially, but it’s essential to push through.”
Kael nodded, settling into the chair. Orin began the incantations, and as the magic enveloped him, Kael could feel the curse’s grip tightening. A chill swept through him, making his body feel even colder and more rigid.
With a surge of energy, the curse lifted, and Kael gasped as warmth returned to his limbs. He stood up, feeling an immediate difference. The tension in his body eased, and he took a moment to adjust.
“Better?” Lira asked, a smile breaking across her face.
“Much,” Kael replied, the stiffness dissipating. There was still an edge of aggression lurking within him, a reminder of the previous curse, but now he felt more balanced. But what only Lira seem to realise was that Kael's body wasn't totally the same. His waist had shrinked too much for a guy, as his hips had expended. This was giving Kael a new feminine shape that everybody would notice at some point.
As they made their way back to the camp, Kael found himself enjoying the sensation of movement, despite the lingering rigidity. He practiced flexing his hands, feeling more fluid than before. But just as he began to revel in the moment, an unexpected surge of aggression pulsed through him, making him clench his fists. “I need to control this,” he muttered, frustration bubbling up.
“Just breathe,” Lira advised, placing a hand on his shoulder. “You’re doing great. Let’s take it one step at a time.”
With Lira’s encouragement, Kael focused on calming his mind. They spent the day preparing for the next curse, discussing strategies to manage the aggression that still clung to him.

Kael took a deep breath, steeling himself for the challenge. As the incantation began, he felt the familiar surge of energy wash over him. When the curse lifted, he opened his mouth, testing his voice.
“Can you hear me?” he exclaimed, relief flooding him as words flowed freely, but almost instantly realise something was odd again.
“Yes! You did it!” Lira cheered, her face lighting up. Till she realise that even if Kael could speak again, this was not his voice. Kael's new voice was girly, almost melodic. And she saw on his red face the shame comming with this change. This new reality, his reality, will not be easy to manage at first. "I knew it would change me, but making me some effeminate boy isn't fair !" he scream with his high-pitched voice.
With each curse lifted, Kael felt more empowered, yet the lingering aggression still threatened to surface. The next day, he faced the Curse of Enchantment, which he knew would bring its own challenges.
Orin’s workshop buzzed with energy as he prepared to lift the curse. “ If it keeps the patern, this will enhance your beauty but may also draw unwanted attention,” he cautioned.
Kael braced himself, ready for the transformation. As magic enveloped him, he felt a shift, a rush of allure that made him feel both powerful and vulnerable.
When the curse lifted, he caught a glimpse of his reflection, radiant, captivating. But along with this beauty came a strange awareness of the attention it would attract.

One week later, Kael was now known by everyone, the previous curses had taken away his masculinity, layer by layer till he was almost a girl. And he did not ask Lira to life the 7th curse because deep down, he knew what would it be about. Becoming a full girl, definitely. That was scary but staying like this wasn't an option, as his grandpa always told him, eather go at 100% or don't go, but never in between.
With that in mind, Kael decide to embrace the changes and choose womanhood. It was hard to do, all the man's pride in the world couldn't help him, instead it was a new kind of pride, belief, that had grow in him for the past days as his body changed and along his tome with Lira.
And so the evening, he was in Lura's lab, ready to switch side, to see the world through a different lens. As magical particules appears around him, he could feel his body morphing, one last time. And when it's ended, he stand up, and hug Lira, he, or rather she, was now free, and learned so much about her. Now it is time to learn to be a girl, and for that, she can count on her friends.
