Good idea! Briallen classing up after delivering Otis would be a nice POV. All clergy not knowing about the reason of the "Silent Season" (or whatever the pontiff named it) will swarm her with questions

CJ Holmes

I think people are right that this ending is too weak. There will be a rewrite, probably sometime this week.

CJ Holmes

There's a form to these things. No shortcuts!

Him sitting on a throne with his enemy chained at his feet has dark lord vibes for sure, haha

Given the impact of his body’s own biological father attacking him, and the build up to his revenge, I feel like this could use an epilogue. Maybe someone at the church aghast or otherwise impressed by Otis’ new status once he’s delivered? Or worried about Taylor’s power over the system? Just something to hammer home the finality of the event ands clarify repercussions. As it is it’s kinda just another Tuesday for Taylor, y’know?

Moon Winchester

What I’m deeply interested in fascinated by Tanglewood’s effect on the spirit world. Is it overlying it spatial distortion as a natural phenomenon there or is it still the normal forest? I think it would be interesting. If Taylor’s disc course is fundamentally alter the spiritual realm into interesting and fun ways.

Fixed. Thanks! I need to find a preference on auto-correction that says not to mess with people's names.

> world where Sylvia didn't die, I think this should be Sybil

CJ Holmes

1. Fixed. 2. I don't recall him promising to kill anyone. He said he couldn't leave hostile pieces on the board, and he took Otis's class. Yes, Otis is bad and deserves to die, but Taylor is trying to lead a certain kind of life. Is it the wisest course of action? Maybe not. But it was a decent enough moral choice. You are free to disagree. Even strenuously. There's a great case to be made for killing Otis.

Thanks for the chapter! 1) The safety path led [straight] to the clubhouse, or as straight as anything ever was in Tanglewood 2) "If I ever see you on the battlefield again, there won't be enough pieces of you left to be worth burying. You will never lie next to her in the ground, and your soul will never find hers in the next life, or any other life." >> Feels to me like a blustery, empty, threat, since he had previously declared he would kill him during this clash and, disappointingly, didn't.

CJ Holmes

So ends Book 3 of I Swear I'm Not A Dark Lord!
