“Alright, so I scanned the mind of an important person. He might be good, or he might be a criminal. It’s good that I obliviated him, otherwise there would be problem,” Harry sighed as he leaned back against the wall and relaxed slightly. He had no intention of making unnecessary enemies before even settling down in this world. If this was going to be his life, he would love to spend it without any conflict and in peace. He had given up everything for others already. It was time he did something for himself.

“Allow me to introduce myself. I am the one they call the Ancient One, and I am the Sorcerer Supreme.”
Harry looked at her carefully.
“You’re a witch? I thought there were no wizarding society in this world.”
“You are correct. There is no wizarding society in this world, not the one like there was in your world. However, there is a guild of sorcerers. Unlike the magic you can utilize, we have our own branch of mystic arts that we can employ.”
“Can you prove it?”
The woman smiled before waving her hand in a circle. Harry saw what looked like a ring on her fingers, which glowed slightly and a glowing portal appeared before him. His eyes widened.
“Come, Harry Potter. We have much to discuss.”
“How can I trust you? I have no idea what you can do with me once I go there,” he gestured with his head towards the portal. The woman nodded in understanding.
“I give you my oath as the Sorcerer Supreme that you shall not be harmed or have anything detrimental done to you as long as you do not take the first step of aggression.”
A small spark shot out of her hand and encased his fingers before it vanished.
“Is that enough?”
“That’s how oaths work here?” Harry asked. The woman nodded with a smile.
“Fair enough,” Harry muttered and followed her through the portal.
A tranquil scene greeted Harry as he stepped into the portal. He took in his surroundings. Vast stretches of mountains were visible on the horizon, the snowy peaks shining with the sunlight. The sky was a clear blue, and the courtyard was surrounded by lush greenery and only an old cottage in the distance.
“That is our final destination. Come,” the woman intoned and started walking. Harry could only follow, his eyes taking in everything around him. This place was heavenly.
“Where are we?”
“We are in a place called Kamar Taj. Situated in Kathmandu, Nepal. Across those mountains in the subcontinent of India. You may visit if you want, once we are done here.”
Harry nodded.
“We travelled from New York to Kathmandu via that portal?”
The woman nodded with a smile.
“Damn. That was the best form of magical travel I’ve ever experienced.”
“I can understand. Although I have never experienced the forms of magical travel you have, I have witnessed them a few times to know that they are very uncomfortable.”
Harry frowned, a question on his tongue.
“All your questions will be shortly answered, Harry Potter. Have patience.”
Harry nodded with a resigned sigh.
A few minutes later, they were entering the cottage, although it was no more a cottage. The traditional structure was a massive building, constructed in ancient architecture, and encompassing a massive area. A huge courtyard was filled with people young and old, practising their magic, while a few people were engaged in magical and hand-to-hand combat.
“Welcome to Kamar Taj, the home and training ground of the Masters of the Mystic Arts.”
Harry looked around. Most of the people were of Asian origin, as evident by their looks. He spotted an old man sitting to the side, deep in meditation.
“Come, Harry Potter. We will talk inside.”
Harry nodded and followed the woman. Despite being a place of learning, Kamar Taj was in no way similar to Hogwarts. No students were running in the corridors, there were no passageways and there was no castle. Kamar Taj was completely open to one and all.
They reached their destination and he saw the Ancient One take a seat on the floor. She had crossed her legs in a meditative pose and gestured for him to sit. Harry nodded and sat down, folding his knees and tucking his leg under his body.
“Now, I am sure you have many questions. Ask away.”

“What is in that necklace?”
The Ancient One looked surprised as she heard him. Never before had someone asked her what was inside it. She smiled.
“I assumed you might be able to feel it. We call it the Eye of Agamotto. He was the first Sorcerer Supreme, and he bid every Sorcerer Supreme since then to guard this with their lives.”
Harry nodded.
“There is something inside it, right?”
The woman nodded with a small smile.
“Given that you are very familiar with this, I shall tell you. Contrary to popular belief, this is not the only universe in existence. There exist an infinite number of universes, popularly referred to as the multiverse. Each multiverse has its history, its own story and its journey. However, the point of origin of the multiverse is the same.
Everything originated from a single point of singularity. I assume you are familiar with the Big Bang?”
Harry nodded. His basic knowledge had been amplified by Phil’s memories.
“When it happened, it hurled elemental crystals across the virgin universe. The same phenomenon happened in each universe in existence. With me so far?”

The woman smiled.
“Precisely. These stones are scattered in the universe, and every universe has its own version of Infinity Stones, as they are called.”
Harry nodded in understanding.
“This is interesting, but what is the purpose of telling me all this?”
The woman smiled.
“The one obsessed with Mother Death approaches, his sights affixed on the ancient relics. Distorted with a heinous vision, unite them he will, to bring untold peril. Only her Master shall bring upon eternal salvation, holding the relic long forgotten: The one to rule them all.”

“Only her Master shall bring upon eternal salvation, holding the relic long forgotten: The one to rule them all,” the woman recited.
“I am the Master of Death,” he muttered, frowning. “What relic is being talked about here?”
The Ancient One smiled. “Surely you know what I am talking about?”

“The one to rule them all…” he muttered.
“There have been no records of a seventh stone, but mystic arithmancy has laid down intensive focus on magical numbers, with 7 being the most impactful of them. So, it makes sense that there would be a seventh stone.”
“The Resurrection Stone,” Harry muttered, looking at the tattoo. “A stone crafted by Death herself, an essence of her very being. It makes sense. Death is singular, inevitable. It comes for all, no matter what one does. It makes sense that Death will have power over everything else.”
The woman nodded.
“That is indeed true,” she whispered with a sardonic smile, “one can prolong the life, but in the end, Death is inevitable.”
Harry glanced at her as she did so.
“You are not as old as you look, are you?”
The woman’s eyes widened slightly.
“I just have this feeling when I look at you, that you have somehow extended your life beyond normal. Is it a philosopher’s stone?”
The woman looked at him with wide eyes.
“A philosopher’s stone does not exist in this universe. It is something else. I might tell you in the future.”
Harry nodded, not intending to pry any further.
“Alright. So, there is someone who wants to kill everyone using the Infinity Stones, but only I can stop him. That’s all?”
The woman nodded. “I am assuming that the Death Stone will help you in this regard. It would have helped if we had more information regarding how this will work. Sadly, we don’t have anything about it.”

“So, which stone is inside the locket?”

“I can feel it. Something is telling me that there is an Infinity Stone in there.”
The woman nodded.

Harry nodded, still staring at the locket.
“The Sorcerer Supreme has always kept the Time Stone safe. As do I.”
Harry looked at her and nodded.
“And you said I had the power to rule them all. Does that mean I can stop it from working?”
The woman’s eyes widened.
“It is possible,” she said, looking at the locket. Harry smiled.
“Why don’t we test it out then? Use it here on this cup. Make time reverse and refill it, and I will see if I can restore it to its normal empty state.”
The woman nodded and crossed her fingers. Harry watched in fascination as the eye opened and a green glow was emitted. Right before his eyes, the cup filled up until it was brimming with steaming tea.

“An Occlumency trance then,” Harry muttered, “that might take a lot of time. People have remained in a trance for weeks before recovering from its effects.”
The Ancient One smiled.
“You can do it here. A lot of sorcerers practice meditation in Kamar Taj, and some of them stay in a trance for days. It would not look out of place to do that here. The natural magic of this place will also keep your body properly nourished, so you do not need to worry about eating either.”
Harry smiled.
“Thank you for that,” he bowed his head slightly.
“It is my honour, Master of Death.”

“I will be in touch then.”
