“Exactly,” Harry nodded. “Ever since that Gamma ray accident which turned Bruce into what he is today, he has resented the Hulk. Totally understandable and no one can blame him. However, in doing so, he has ostracized the Hulk and unknowingly disregarded the efforts it is putting to preserve Bruce’s sanity. The Hulk is for all intents and purposes still a child, Betty. “Busted,” Harry nodded. “You hit the nail on its head. The Hulk is angry, and it is scared. What Sterns’ serum did was force it to go to sleep, making it even angrier when it eventually woke up. Using that serum is not a sustainable solution.”
Betty nodded in understanding, a sense of determination coursing through her. She understood what the situation truly was now, and a new goal had been decided for her.
“What you should focus on is how to ease the transformation until Bruce and the Hulk come to an understanding,” Harry said encouragingly. “Remember that this entire situation can be properly solved by no one but him. He has to understand and he has to convince the Hulk that they are together for life now. Hopefully both happen soon enough.”
With a comforting squeeze of the woman’s shoulder, Harry gave her a supportive nod and walked out of the room with Maria and Natasha on either side of him. Betty stared at them until they turned the corner and sighed.

“Which way is he going?” Natasha asked.
“Germany,” Harry replied. “He’s near the border.”

“Getting inside is easy enough. I’ve got eyes on the prize all the time now. What matters is how Barton will react,” he replied.
“And if Loki’s in that jet as well, then it’s even riskier,” Maria muttered.
“That too,” Harry nodded before he paused. “I can do something though,” he mused thoughtfully.
Both Natasha and Maria stared at him as he thought things through.
“Alright. Here’s the plan,” Harry slammed his fist in his palm. “I’ll turn myself invisible and we three will get inside that jet. Maria, you knock the pilot out and take charge of the jet while me and Nat will neutralize the others.”
“What about Loki?” Maria asked.
“I’ll engage her,” Harry said firmly as he glanced toward Natasha who looked ready to argue before she relented under his gaze.

Natasha and Maria exchanged a glance before they turned to look at Harry and nodded. He strode forward and took their hands firmly.

Maria was on the phone, presumably talking to Fury about their little adventure. He smiled when he saw his lovely ladies walk toward him.
“They’ll be sending the Quinjet for our journey back home,” Maria informed him.
“Again?” Harry asked in amusement. “You know I can—”
“I do,” Maria cut him off. “But Director Fury believes it won’t be safe for Clint.”
“Nick worries too much,” Harry chuckled. “Alright. What’s the agenda now then?”
“Nat,” Maria addressed the redhead who glanced toward her. “I’d like you to go with Agent Barton. A familiar face would be welcome when he wakes up.”
Natasha rolled her eyes and walked toward Barton’s stretcher. The agents led the way with her walking with them.
“And what will you have me do, Ma’am?” Harry asked teasingly.
Maria rolled her eyes and smirked.
“I believe a private intervention is due, Mr. Potter. Follow me please.”
Harry smirked as his lovely brunette began walking toward wherever she was taking him.
“You do know you’ll be doing more than watching in a few minutes, right?” She called out teasingly.
“What can I say?” Harry chuckled as he walked forward, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her flush against him. “It’s good to sometimes take in the scenery.”
Maria rolled her eyes at having her words thrown back at her and she wrapped her arm around his waist. She walked with him, leading them toward where her office was, her body quivering in anticipation.
After the literal torture she had gone through, she could hardly wait.
