On The Hunt: Chapter 26
🕑 Added 2024-01-02 16:30:01 +0000 UTCDaphne and Tracey were vicious, and Dolores Umbridge felt the full brunt of their ire. She had dared to directly harm one of theirs, and they were unrelenting in their retribution.
Harry’s fiancé was particularly vehement as she held the vile woman under her curses. The woman had targeted three people she held the closest to her heart, and in her opinion, she deserved the worst.
It was a testament to the purity of her heart that even in her rage, she did not stoop as low as to cast the Cruciatus on this horrid woman. In her not-so-humble opinion, if there was someone who deserved to have that curse cast on them, it was Dolores Umbridge. However, both she and Tracey refrained.
Meanwhile, Harry stood behind the two girls, watching with satisfaction as they doled out the punishment she sorely deserved. Umbridge had crossed a line today, and after what they had seen her preparing to do to Tracey, all bets were off. Harry had half a mind to ensure she disappeared today, but he did not want to miss out on all the fun the sight of a helpless Umbridge would present them with.
She was a terrible witch, and she lacked any intellect. However, if there was one arena she undoubtedly excelled in, it was politics. They wanted to prove to her that she was powerless in her area of expertise as well, and steps had already been taken to ensure that.
He watched Daphne and Tracey cease their respective spells, and Umbridge painted a sorry sight indeed. Her body was slick with sweat and her skin had turned into an ugly shade of pink that oddly matched the horrid cardigan she was wearing. Tracks of tears slid down her cheeks, intermixing with the spit and saliva that slithered out of her mouth, falling on her lap in a display of utter revulsion. Her breathing was ragged, muted sobs escaping her mouth every so often as she kept her fists clenched in an effort to stave off the pain she was undoubtedly feeling.
The sight filled them with nothing but disgust.
“She deserves much more than this,” Tracey hissed, her voice laced with anger. Harry nodded.
“All in due time, Trace. We have a lot of unfinished business with her,” Daphne replied.
They stared at the woman who slowly lifted her head, an impotent glare directed at them. It earned her nothing more than a scoff.
“Y-you…” she coughed violently.
“I’d keep quiet if I were you,” Tracey snarled. “Won’t want more of that now.”
Umbridge’s resolve was at its height though, emboldened by the torture she had undergone. These brats had used every spell they taught at Hogwarts in a way she had never even thought about, and they had inflicted so much pain on her that she was having a hard time keeping her head upright. However, she had not climbed the ranks of the ministry by sheer dumb luck. She was the most remarkable woman to have ever stepped foot inside the ministry, and it would take much more than a bunch of upjumped buffoons to break her.
“Y-you h-have no i-i-idea w-what you’ve d-done,” she wheezed. “I am t-the Undersec-cretary to t-the m-minist-ter! I w-will s-see you in Az-ka-kaban f-for t-this!”
Harry rolled his eyes as he flicked his wand, and a bloodcurdling scream rang out once again as Umbridge’s blood began to boil. Harry waited until he deemed it sufficient before casting the counter. The woman was left as nothing more than a crying, shivering mess by the time he was done.
As he stepped forward, Daphne and Tracey took their positions on either side of him, glaring.
“I’ll be clear with you, Umbridge,” Harry began calmly. “Your minister holds his position right now only because we want him to. He had fucked up big time, and he won’t go out until he sees his reputation torn to shreds while he still holds the office. Once everything’s said and done, no parent would want to name their child Cornelius.”
“They’ll probably rename the dessert as well, if I’m being honest,” Tracey quipped with a smirk. “A shame really.”
“That as well,” Harry chuckled. “Once we’re done with Fudge, he will be kicked out of the office in the most satisfying of ways. I don’t need to tell you what your pathetic title of an Undersecretary will be worth then.”
“It’s worthless even now. The only reason she’s got any say right now is only because she’s that bastard’s bed-buddy,” Daphne smirked.
“C’mon love, I seriously didn’t need that image in my mind right now,” Harry groaned.
Daphne’s smirk widened and she leaned against him, standing on her tiptoes to whisper in his ear, “I’m sure we can arrange something to replace that image with a more pleasant one.”
Harry’s eyes glinted in excitement as Tracey rolled her eyes mirthfully.
“You two can get a broom closet later,” she interjected, smirking cruelly at an apoplectic Umbridge who was glaring at them.
“Ah right,” Harry smirked. “Back to where I was then. You are worth shit, Umbridge. Go and do what you can. It’s an open challenge. As a bonus, I won’t even erase anything from your memory. You’ll know what happened here in this room and what you went through. Go and get us sent off to Azkaban as you just claimed. Even I want to see how you manage to touch even a hair on our heads, let alone harm us.”
Umbridge bristled with rage at the brat’s audacity.
“Y-you—”
“He’s not done, Undersecretary,” Daphne cut her off, enjoying the look of sheer fury on her face. “From now on, speak only when you’re permitted to. Know your place in front of your betters.”
“What the lovely lady said,” Harry remarked. “I dare you, Umbridge. Do your worst. But before you try anything, do allow me to see something for myself.”
Before the woman could react, Harry’s wand was trained at her forehead in a flash, and with a whispered ‘Legilimens’, he breezed past the woman’s irrelevant mental defenses with no issue.
He knew what he was looking for, and the memory came to the forefront of her mind in an instant.
The woman was sitting with a seething Cornelius Fudge right opposite her. Harry quickly deduced it to be the latter’s office.
“You have truly done a remarkable job with the Prophet, Dolores,” Fudge praised. “I shall see what else I can do with the auror budget. You don’t have to worry about them.”
“It’s not for my sake that I’m proposing this, Cornelius,” Umbridge smiled. “You should know Dumbledore isn’t the only one who’s after your seat. Amelia Bones has also been vying for the position. The less power we give her, the better off we are.”
“Right you are,” Fudge nodded. “I seriously cannot believe I’ve been surrounded by nothing but snakes in sheep’s clothing all these years. I can’t be more grateful to you and Lucius for having my back.”
“Lord Malfoy only has the best interests of this country in his heart, and he knows there is no one better than you to oversee the affairs. These recent challenges will also pass,” Umbridge replied with a glint in her eyes.
Fudge sighed.
“I expected better of Potter, you know? Thought he’d have grown up after the horrible episode with his aunt, but his fame truly seems to have gotten to his head. Sometimes I wonder if I was too lenient with him back then when I pardoned him.”
“You should not blame yourself for your good nature, Cornelius,” Umbridge responded with a small shake of her head. “It was your benevolence that made you pardon him. Just because he turned out to be a selfish and unappreciative little boy does not mean you were wrong.”
“You truly believe there’s no hope for him, Dolores?” Fudge asked with a sigh.
“I’ve come across many personalities over the years, Cornelius. The fact that Potter can create such an elaborate lie to incite mass panic and take advantage of other people’s fears should be proof enough that he’s a lost cause. Do not forget he is of age now as well. Potter is no longer a child, Cornelius.”
Fudge nodded gravely.
“We need to do something about him,” he intoned. “He cannot be allowed to go on with his lies anymore. Like Dumbledore, his word holds a lot of weight.”
“I would not worry if I were you, Cornelius,” Umbridge replied, smirking. “Potter is inexperienced. I am sure he will slip up soon enough. Attention-seeking liars like him always do.”
Harry merely scoffed as he pushed past the memory, searching for another one. He did not have to struggle as it presented itself to be devoured eagerly.
“The boy does not live there anymore, Dolores,” Lucius Malfoy remarked from his seat in his study, his finger stroking the snake engraving on his cane. “There is no use in sending the Dementors where he is not.”
“What about sending them wherever he lives?” Umbridge asked, earning a shake of the head from the man.
“Our sources have confirmed that the boy moved to an undisclosed location. We believe he is hiding behind a Fidelius.”
Umbridge’s eyes narrowed.
“That complicates things,” she muttered.
“Not necessarily,” Lucius smirked, earning a curious look from the woman. “You know as well as everyone that our lord has forbidden any of us to fatally harm the boy, so your proposal about the Dementors was always doomed to end in a failure.”
Umbridge’s protests died in her throat. She knew her place, and going against the Dark Lord’s wishes was a one-way ticket to the graveyard.
“But the idea of sending the Dementors to Little Whinging does have merit,” Lucius continued. “The boy’s relatives still live there, and it’s an open secret that there is no love lost between them and Potter. If something were to happen to them, with the use of magic, of course, then it wouldn’t be hard to frame Potter for it.”
An evil glint emerged in Umbridge’s eyes as she pondered on the scheme. It certainly had potential.
“If you’d like, I can arrange for some help, so to speak,” Lucius added with an easy smile as he leaned back and regarded the woman. “If things work out, this might also earn you our lord’s mark that you desire so much.”
Harry pulled out of Umbridge’s mind, sickened.
“So you’re not just an evil little bitch but a full-fledged Death Eater as well,” he sneered.
“Really?” Daphne asked. “Why am I not surprised? She fits in right with those evil bastards.”
“Shame your plan failed and you didn’t get your slave mark,” Harry continued, sneering. “For all your talk, you sure are pathetic.”
Umbridge merely sat there, hunched over, sweat falling off her forehead on the floor. They had not bothered to inflict any external injuries on her, deeming the internal torture enough. However, the revelation that she was a Death Eater as well truly made them reconsider that decision. For now, though, they refrained. It wasn’t as if anyone was in a hurry.
Harry delved back into her mind, intent to see just how she had carried out this little scheme concocted in partnership with Lucius Malfoy.
“This is Jimmy,” Lucius pointed toward the shivering young man with his thumb. “Lad knows to do what you tell him to. Don’t you, lad?”
“Y-yes, L-lord Malfoy,” the boy who couldn’t be older than thirteen said, shivering. His clothes were tattered in places and he looked severely malnourished. Harry had no idea who this boy was or what had happened to him but he truly sympathized with him. It was obvious that he was being coerced into doing this.
“Good kid,” Lucius smirked. “Now go and get ready to head out. Don’t you dare make the lady wait. And tell that bitch to hurry up. We don’t have all day.”
Umbridge watched with a sick smirk as the boy walked away, limping slightly.
“Are you sure he won’t fuck this up?” She asked.
“The brat knows what’s at stake here,” Lucius replied as a young girl entered, carrying a tray with shaking hands.
Harry felt revulsion course through his very being at the lecherous look Malfoy directed toward the girl who was clearly well younger than the man’s son. She too looked severely malnourished, and the picture became clear to him instantly.
The girl placed the tray on the table and poured tea with shaking hands. Harry seethed and averted his eyes and he saw Malfoy push his hand through the tear in her skirt, gritting his teeth when he heard the girl’s gasp mixed with a choked sob. He closed his eyes when Malfoy and Umbridge both let out disgusting chuckles.
He refocused when he heard the retreating footsteps.
“Humans for servants, Lucius?” Umbridge remarked in amusement.
“A man has other desires as well, Dolores,” Lucius replied unashamedly, smirking. “And it helps that the girl makes for a good puppet for Draco. He’s begun recently, but you can already see his handiwork, I’m sure.”
“Send her brother my way sometime. I’m sure I can make some use of him,” Umbridge replied with a sickening grin on her toad face. “The last one expired too soon for my liking. Lasted only two weeks, if you can believe it.”
“One of Burton’s?” Lucius asked, clicking his tongue when the woman nodded. “His goods don’t last long anymore. Better pick them up from the streets. Free and last much longer, although you compromise on aesthetics, but that’s manageable. It isn’t as if the primary goods are any different, if you catch my drift.”
Harry closed his eyes in disgust and seethed silently. If only he’d been there in person instead of watching this in this bitch’s mind…
“The girl is that lad’s twin,” Lucius continued. “Orphans. Found them a few weeks ago in Knockturn, feeding on scraps. Picked them up and I must say, the girl’s a good investment. The lad though… a little rough around the edges, but I’m sure he’s got the right motivation to get it done. He knows what’ll happen to his dear little sister should he fuck this up.”
“I don’t see how it’d happen though,” Umbridge remarked. “It isn’t as if he’s got to do much.”
“Let’s see,” Lucius smirked.
The memory shifted to the day of the attack, and Harry watched it all happen with full clarity. Umbridge and Malfoy were both present there for it and so was Macnair. He was the one handling the Dementor. They had decided to target Dudley.
Harry watched how the weather got colder as the skies darkened and once the Dementor was let loose, it made a beeline for his cousin.
It all happened in slow motion. Dudley spotted the hellish creature and screamed, prompting laughter from all his friends at his expense. However, their nervousness at the sudden change in atmosphere was unmistakable. It was all fun when suddenly, Polkiss dropped to the ground, his life having already faded from his eyes as the dementor sucked his soul out of him.
“Wrong target, Macnair!” Lucius hissed as the brute of an executioner rushed forward and tried to get the Dementor back in control. Meanwhile, he brutally pulled the boy, Jimmy, by the collar of his tattered shirt.
“See that fat boy? One killing curse is all you’ve got. No more. Get it done, or it’s that worthless tramp of a sister of yours who’ll get it tonight.”
The boy was visibly shaking and crying, and Harry knew what would happen. He was proven right when a feeble killing curse left the boy’s wand and fizzed past the running crowd, slamming into a rock nearby. Nothing happened.
“You worthless brat!” Lucius hissed and before the boy could react, he backhanded him, splitting his lip open and sending him tumbling over to the ground.
“We’re leaving, Dolores. The aurors will be here any moment. Use whatever happened here today to frame Potter. I’m sure you’re diligent enough.”
The last thing Harry saw was the seething visage of Dolores Umbridge as Lucius Malfoy disapparated with the young boy in tow.
Harry knew the entirety of what had happened now, and he ceased the spell, his mind filled with jumbled thoughts.
If the man’s proven involvement in having him framed for Polkiss’ murder hadn’t already done its job, the entire context of the incident solidified it in his mind.
Dolores Umbridge and Lucius Malfoy both will die and so will the man’s vile son. The line of the Malfoys would end with Draco.
“Harry?” Daphne asked in concern when he emerged out of Umbridge’s mind.
Harry held a hand up, stopping her.
“I’ll tell you all soon,” he said softly, his voice tinged with rage as he turned to Umbridge with a fierce glare. “I have half a mind to just kill you right here and now, you fucking bitch, but that would be too easy of an escape for you.”
Both Daphne and Tracey were surprised when Harry held his wand vertically and began chanting. Daphne recognized the words from the tomes Dumbledore had given him but she had not progressed that far to discern what he was doing. However, for Harry to be using a spell, and what seemed to be a powerful one at that, from Dumbledore’s tomes meant whatever he had seen in Umbridge’s memory was horrifying.
Suddenly, Umbridge let out a bloodcurdling scream and both Daphne and Tracey jumped in surprise. They watched how the woman’s skin turned an ugly shade of purple before slowly reverting to its usual state.
Harry opened his eyes, and they were glowing with rage.
“Let’s see how well you like it now. Come Daph, Tracey, we’re done here.”
Without a second glance, Harry turned around and slammed the door open.
Daphne and Tracey exchanged a surprised glance before looking at Umbridge for a moment. The woman looked barely conscious. With a final look of disgust toward her, they turned around and followed after Harry.

Harry was agitated, and Daphne had never seen this side of him before. He was visibly shaking, and his breathing was audible even several feet behind him where she walked with Tracey as they followed him.
She took a deep breath and stepped forward, gently taking his hand in hers. He barely reacted and Daphne would’ve deemed him unresponsive if not for the way he interlaced their fingers gently.
With a small smile, she scooted closer to him as they walked, with Tracey following behind them.
“Tracey!” Neville’s little shout made them pause and the boy rushed past him, frantically checking his girlfriend over for any injuries.
“I’m fine, Nev,” Tracey reassured him as she palmed his cheeks, smiling gently.
“Nev,” Harry’s firm tone grabbed the boy’s attention and he turned around. “Get everyone to the room. Right now. It’s urgent.”
Surprised and more than a little perturbed, Neville could only nod as Harry walked away with Daphne right beside him.
“What happened back there? Why’s he so…”
“Angry?”
“Scary, but yours will do as well,” Neville replied.
“He used Legilimency on Umbridge, and something he saw made him this angry,” Tracey replied. “All we know is that Umbridge is also a Death Eater, although unmarked. But that didn’t enrage him. It happened after he saw something else. No idea what it is though.”
Neville sighed.
“And the detention? What did she make you do?”
Tracey grimaced slightly.
“Nothing. They arrived and put a stop to it before she could make me do anything.”
“Tracey?” Neville asked in concern as he cupped her face and gazed deep into her brown orbs.
“She was going to use a blood quill on me,” Tracey replied with a shudder. Neville’s hold on her face tightened slightly and Tracey quickly grabbed his arms when he made to pull away.
“Don’t, Nev,” she said firmly. “Me, Daph, and Harry have already done enough.”
“I haven’t,” Neville snarled. “She was going to torture you. Permanently scar you. I’ll give her some of it myself.”
“Nev, please,” Tracey pleaded, tightly holding him to herself. “You can do it, just not right now. Let’s go and see what’s up with Harry first. That’s more important.”
Neville breathed deeply for a long while and let his girlfriend hold him. All the while, Tracey soothingly stroked his back as he kept his face buried in her hair. Her scent soothed him slowly until he finally pulled back.
“Okay now?” Tracey asked.
“I’ll be,” he replied.
“Come on,” she sighed. “Let’s get the others so we can see what’s got Harry so agitated.”

Gabrielle Delacour sat against the headrest, her mind a jumbled mess of conflicting thoughts. Her inner desire clashed with her nature, creating a storm of struggle within her mind.
Daphne had left her all by herself a few hours ago, and ever since then, she had been reflecting on their conversation without any pause. She had nothing else to do or think about. The veela had been enraged beyond belief and it had left her both physically and magically drained, rendering her incapable of leaving the room.
‘Not that I should be leaving this place anytime soon, if I value my life,’ she thought morbidly. She was under no delusions as to what would happen to her should any unsavory parties find her, and she knew there was no scarcity of those in this godforsaken place.
Left to her devices, she had been replaying her conversation with Daphne over and over again. Both she and her cousin had laid everything bare for the first time since this entire saga began a few months ago. She had kept all those thoughts and emotions buried deep within her, intending to never let them out, but she could not stop herself.
She knew what she felt and what she wanted, and it was all at her fingertips. All she needed to do was to reach out and take it. Every fiber of her being was screaming at her to quit being stubborn. She knew how Harry felt, and she now knew how Daphne felt about it as well, and her cousin’s heartfelt acceptance had done a great job at whittling away the inhibitions she felt.
Now, whenever she thought about it, she felt her heartbeat increase in anticipation. It could all be solved if she agreed, and truly, there was not a lot stopping her. Only her reluctance or her obstinacy for monogamy stood in the way. However, the feeling of relief and happiness she felt when she thought about agreeing with Daphne threatened to push every bit of her stubborn pride aside and try as she might, she could not muster the desire to refrain from seeking her happiness any longer.
These past few hours in complete solitude had perhaps been what she needed after that conversation with Daphne, and she believed she had already made her decision. She only hoped things would go well when she told them about it.
It made her feel oddly nervous and excited in equal measure and she wondered how Harry would react.
She was startled when the door suddenly opened and as she looked over, a smile blossomed on her face at the sight of the two people she had been thinking about. She almost shot out of bed despite still feeling the strain before she caught herself. The smile slipped off her face when she took one look at his face and how Daphne was supportively holding him. All thoughts of her confession fled her mind and were replaced by concern as they came closer, and she felt her breath hitch when her eyes locked with his emerald ones that were simmering with more rage than she’d ever seen in them.
Harry stared at Gabrielle’s widened eyes for a moment as he walked toward her with Daphne. His fiancé gently helped him sit on the chair before taking her place beside him.
“What happened? Is everything okay?” Gabrielle asked, hoping the situation had not worsened outside.
Daphne glanced toward her cousin before she turned to gaze at Harry who was staring steadfastly at the bed with a stoic face.
“We confronted Umbridge,” Daphne began filling the veela in, telling her what had unfolded in her office when Tracey arrived for her detention. Gabrielle’s lips were set into a thin line by the time her cousin finished telling it all.
“Can’t say I have even an ounce of sympathy for that connasse,” she replied. “Next time you make a plan like that, be sure to invite me. I’d love to give that putain a taste as well.”
“Duly noted,” Daphne replied.
“A few sessions like those are tame compared to what people like her deserve,” Harry hissed.
Daphne and Gabrielle looked at him in concern.
Harry closed his eyes and out of nowhere, a floating pensieve appeared right over Gabrielle’s bed. Wordlessly, he pressed the tip of his wand against his temple and extracted the memory of everything he had seen in Umbridge’s mind. Daphne and Gabrielle watched him drop the glowing silvery strand into the pensieve.
“Go on. I’ve got no interest in rewatching that,” he said in disgust.
Uncertain but curious to see what had agitated him so much, the blonde cousins immersed themselves in the memory while Harry sat back in silence.
It did not take long for them to emerge from the memory, both looking utterly disgusted and their eyes blazing with rage.
“We went too easy on that bitch!” Daphne hissed. “If anyone deserves to be tortured for all of eternity, it’s her. Her and that asshole of a Malfoy! Both of them!”
“I’ll kill them,” Harry whispered in rage. “I don’t care what happens. They will die. But not before they suffer. I’ll make sure all three of them suffer the worst of fates for what they’ve done to them.”
Gabrielle and Daphne sat, seething, as they recalled the twins’ treatment at the hands of Malfoy, what he had said about Draco’s involvement, and the rest of their conversation. It was blatantly obvious that it was usual for them to be involved in this fucking disgusting behavior.
“Doing something like that… They’re children, for fuck’s sake!” Gabrielle seethed.
“It’s time, Daph,” Harry cut in suddenly, making both girls turn toward him. “It’s time to put that plan in motion. We’ve put it off for too long. Christmas is too far away. Fudge, that Umbitch, every single one of them needs to be gone as soon as possible!”
Daphne’s eyes widened and she clutched his hands firmly.
“Are we ready for it though? Is the Order ready? We need to discuss it properly.”
“I don’t care!” Harry hissed. “Those cunts can’t keep doing this. Merlin knows what they’ve already done to those kids! And how many more kids are suffering like that under other Death Eaters!? And this fucking ministry! What has it ever done for its people!? Bloody Fudge only cares about his fucking chair! Fuck the people as long as he gets to sit his fat arse on that fucking throne of his. I’ll break his neck around that shitty chair he loves so much!”
“Hush…” Daphne soothed, pushing her rage to the side vehemently and wrapping her arms around him shakingly. He was simmering in rage but what they needed right now was a calm mind. “Take a deep breath. I won’t ask you to calm down or put it away for now. We don’t need that. But we can’t go charging in without a proper plan. It’s a huge plan we’re talking about here. One step at a time, okay?”
Harry breathed deeply, clutching her hand in his.
“I felt all her disgusting emotions,” he said gruffly. “That vile shitstain of a woman…”
“Shh…” Daphne soothed. “You don’t need to say anything. You need to compose yourself. They’re all coming right now, and they’ll need you to lead them.”
Right on cue, the door opened and one by one, everyone walked in. The Weasley twins shut the door behind them and it vanished into the wall. They all walked toward the bed, taking in their enraged features with more than a little surprise.
“Doing good, Gabrielle?” Cho asked the veela who nodded.
“What’s up with the urgency, Potter?” Smith asked curiously.
Harry closed his eyes and released a deep breath. He pulled off another strand of memory and dropped it inside the pensieve.
“Dip your fingers into the pensieve and watch that first,” he instructed, sitting back to the left of Gabrielle’s bed with Daphne on his right.
They exchanged concerned looks with each other before abiding by his instructions.
Gabrielle watched everyone head over to the pensieve and she leaned back. She regarded Harry and Daphne and merely observed them. They were very close, and she desired that closeness for herself as well.
‘Not the right time. I’ll tell them my decision later,’ she thought to herself.
Minutes later, everyone emerged from the pensieve and to say they were livid was an understatement. Disgust was palpable across the group and everyone regarded Harry who stood up.
“Things are going to get serious now,” he said. “I could’ve made that bitch disappear permanently today but there’s no way we can let Fudge have any public sympathy right now. She can go to him and cry about how we tortured her, but it’s only her word. She can try and make the aurors come and arrest us but we all know nothing will happen.”
“Fudge is going to be under a lot of pressure in no time now,” Daphne took over. “Gabrielle’s father will be adding international pressure over the disappearance of his daughter from British soil, and there’s something planned to ensure Fudge is in the deepest waters he’s ever been.”
“That bitch and those Malfoy pricks better suffer,” Ginny hissed.
“They will,” Harry stated firmly, eyes blazing. “Remember the little talk we had about killing and getting our hands dirty? Well, time’s come to truly walk the talk. If you can’t handle it, you will sit out of this one and no one will judge you.”
Harry stared at Neville at this who stared back with clenched teeth.
“No one will judge you,” he repeated. “Everyone here has skills that would aid our cause in one way or another. You don’t need to do the dirty work to prove yourself. I hope you’ll keep that in mind.”
“What have you planned, Potter?” Goldstein asked gravely.
“Punishing people will come later,” Harry replied. “Our priority is to save those who are suffering. Our first order of business is to rescue those two kids from Malfoy’s clutches, and we’ll go from there.”
“And the other plan?”
“All in due time,” Daphne said firmly.
There were understanding nods around the room as Harry exchanged a nod with Daphne.
They were ready to act. Those kids had suffered enough, and they could not let them endure the torture and humiliation anymore. The only thing they hoped for was that they were not too late.
