Anima Returns!
🕑 Added 2023-11-14 23:53:59 +0000 UTCHi friends! I'm ready to share more from my Anima series, this time featuring Angel! Not only was this painting a fun and unique challenge, but I enjoyed working with the model again after our painting together a couple of years ago!
Amusingly enough, I only had a TRAILER to work off of. I had assumed that "The Boy and the Heron" was out, and we would watch it during the painting. Instead we watched the trailer, and I tried to use my imagination to connect the dots.

Really fun side profile shot! The photo isn't as sharp as I'd like, but the angle was so cute.
We decided to put some jewels on him... the ring was designed by Amber Reigns (Immortal Reigns) and went nicely with the color scheme.

There's an amazing amount of detail; the grass, the flowers on the wall of the cottage, the number of panes in the windows, and the Heron's crest. The two full-body shots would look fantastic framed.
